Description
We are a family of four with two young children (1 and 3) and we work closely with our hired help creating a fun family environment. We operate a small family run dog sledding tourism business with 30 dogs, located in the beautiful Kluane region of Yukon Canada. We have been growing our dog sledding tourism business over the past few years to include 2-3 fulltime paid positions for those looking to learn more about the mushing lifestyle and be out on the land enjoying the pristine Yukon wilderness.
We’ll be focusing on some small infrastructure projects (new equipment shed, timber frame pavillion, landscaping and trail maintenance) this spring and summer, until we get started training dogs and guiding tours again this fall through to next spring.
Located on the Alaska Hwy between Whitehorse and Haines Junction (45 minute drive in either direction), we’re nearby some amazing hiking trails, lakes for swimming and fishing, and we'd love to show off our favourite camping spots. We drive into Whitehorse weekly and can give you a lift if needed.Types of help and learning opportunities

We have a young family and we’re all very involved in the tourism business and property management. We will share our knowledge of animal husbandry (we also have horses and chickens on the farm), general construction, and homesteading on a rural Yukon property while enjoying the mushing lifestyle for those who love dogs and exploring the beautiful Yukon wilderness.
We are an inclusive community and welcome all, and look forward to learning from you and your experiences!Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage
