Description
Stay with us in a 500-year old stone house in the heart of a medieval village in the south of France! We are making slow progress (room by room) cleaning up the stone and making it pretty again. But it's all aesthetic... everything is fully functional!

You can be a man or a woman or a couple! You should have basic english speaking skills, but I speak (enough) French as well. Happy to help you with english and (if you happen to speak French, you can help me) share some meals and conversations. You can also explore the area around Uzes. The Pond du Gard is a short 15km away and I have a couple of bikes available for use. My girlfriend and I both love photography. I have done it professionally for a very long time and am happy to teach some photography skills (I have a studio lighting setup here, as I do product photography as well as people and such). We both love reading about the Stoic philosophy and trying to practice it. I have walked nearly 2000km of the Camino de Santiago de Compostella and will some day make the journey from Rome all the way to Santiago in one go!
Help
Really it is mostly manual labor stuff. Help with cleaning up the stone walls (chipping out the old mortar and applying new)... some wall painting. General DIY stuff. I'm a very handy person, but I also have a very knowledgeable friend that can assist on things that I don't fully know how to do! I'm not super tight about schedule and I don't have a deadline. I'm really just looking for someone to help me in keeping things moving forward. I am a small business owner and my new venture is taking 90% of my time now, so I am making no progress on my house :(

Interested in getting better at my French and/or helping you with your english :)Accommodation
You will stay in the house with myself and my 18-year old (LGBT, so if that's an issue, then we're probably not the place for you). My girlfriend is frequently here from Switzerland as well. You will have your own private bedroom and bathroom and there is a small kitchenette in the bedroom as well. You will come and go as you please!
What else ...
Again, I'm very flexible with the work stuff... I'm thinking like 10-15 hours per week, split up however you like. Just as long as we're making progress. We have fibre internet here with blazing fast speeds and groceries and cafes are just meters away from the front door.
