    Description

Hello, I am looking for someone to help on our farm in the mountains of western North Carolina. The farm is 300 acres with 12 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. We grow Christmas trees and mushrooms on the farm. I have a guest house for you to live in although it is very small. It is suitable for one person only. October is the tree harvest and there is much work to be done during the harvest which lasts until mid December . I am loo king for someone to live in the guest house and cook(vegetarian), clean, work in the garden, harvest mushrooms on the mushroom farm (shiitake, oyster, lion's main) plus on line grocery shop and keep a wood fire burning on cold days( non paying part). There is work on the farm during tree harvest that will be paying farm wages. There is also some paying work before harvest. I will provide all your food. The houses are in a beautiful setting in the woods on top of a mountain. Great secluded location that is peaceful and tranquil. A front wheel or 4 wheel vehicle is best. Starting date October 25th or anytime before November 6th. Please do not apply if you are traveling with a dog. Also no smoking. Trees harvest is now finished and the workaway person is leaving but would welcome an exchange for house cleaning and cooking.
