Are you a real animal and nature lover with horse handling experience?

For OCTOBER 2025 (exact dates to be confirmed) We are looking for a warm, kind, responsible person, to take care of our home, dogs and cats, and horses (we consider our horses as pets too!),

We would like someone who has had experience handling horses and is very comfortable around them as they require the daily application of ointment ( no riding experience necessary as our horses are now retired).

We are a couple of artists (French and English) who have recently moved to start a new adventure in Sicily, living in a small country house set in 1 hectare of land with stunning views of the Madonie National Park near Cefalu in Sicily. We have 2 horses, two dogs and two cats, who are all very dear to us.

We are looking for a real animal and nature lover, who would enjoy playing with our lively young dogs and who has had horse or donkey handling experience. This would require you to be comfortable spending time in the house on your own (after spending at least 5 or 6 days together to show you the animals routine and for you and the animals to get to know each other). We live in a safe area and can introduce you to our friends who live nearby. We would like somebody who is also happy to share the cooking and kitchen cleaning etc while we are together.

We are looking for a friendly, responsible, practical person, who we can rely on to take care of the house and animals, especially if we need to go away for a few days or longer periods.

Our horses are good natured and live outdoors most of the time. They need to be checked on at least three times a day, ointment applying to protect from insects, given, cereal, water, hay and their shelter needs mucking out every day. We are looking for someone with experience, who is comfortable in handling the horses.

We have 2 beautiful dogs, Luigi who is 4 and Pablo who is 8 years old. The are both very lively, playful and like a lot of attention, games and cuddles, so being an animal lover is a must! We also have 2 lovely cats called Luna and Betty.

The beautiful coastal town of Cefalu is about 20 minutes drive away. The city of Palermo is one hour and 15minutes away by train.
