    Description

If you're interested in organic gardening and living lightly on the land, join us at Tōnui.

We are creating magic here - turning weed-infested paddocks into a lush and productive food forest using permaculture principles.

Anyone eager to learn and get involved is welcome. Join us in our garden projects and on other projects for 20 hours per week, in exchange for accommodation and basic vegetarian food supplies including harvest from the gardens. You will have a caravan to yourself with a gorgeous sea view, your own rustic kitchen, and use of our awesome hempcrete bathhouse.

We live in a quiet rural area, surrounded by native bush, and just a 20 minute walk from Pohara beach, tennis and basketball courts. We are also close to the Pohara store and cafes, great climbing, and other excellent beaches.
