    Description

I am looking for volunteers, prepared to meet the points below. Please ensure you have at least enough English to be able to take simple instruction .
Ideally the stay should be for a minimum of 1 month. The accommodation can easily take 2 people. The 25 hours work can be within 3 days at 8 hours per day or over 5 days at 5 hours per day.

The mission statement of our project is to develop a small centre for the development of shared skills for growing and preparing fresh food from our 1 acre site using no-dig gardening, organic methods and some elements of permaculture. Integral to this is a food preparation area for the community to use to process the harvest from the garden with tutoring by locally skilled people.

Workaway volunteers will asked to help in the physical help of preparing the grounds and workshops and hopefully will have the following skills ; energy, horticulture skills, humour, building skills, adaptability, an interest in ecology, an open mind, any ideas on land art and last of all humour - oh I already said that!
The project outdoors is in early stages.
I am looking for volunteers with practical experience of horticulture or garden design or permaculture or low impact structures, including a new greenhouse, a shed, a pond and a small oak framed building.
Please be prepared for physical tasks.
The right volunteer may be asked to help with cleaning and helping in the man in house.

Accommodation is in a separate outbuilding with washing and kitchen facilities.
The area is very peaceful with fantastic views and close to a National nature reserve.
As you will be mostly cooking for yourself a paid for weekly shop is provided (excluding alcohol).

Please do not apply if you are expecting a home stay in our house as we are full
but you will be eating with us during the day and sharing an evening meal once each week. The weekends are free for you to stay or leave. Food of your choice is provided for you to cook.

Our project site is near to Wedmore, Glastonbury, Cheddar and Wells , further away is Bath and Bristol (30km) .

We live near to the following towns; Cheddar, Glastonbury, Wells and Bristol and Bath are both about 25 miles away with many buses nearby. There are many pubs, music venues and historical sites in Somerset as well as the history of Bath and the exciting vibe in Bristol. There is a very economical local bus direct to central London for £30 return called Berry's Coaches.
