Guasca is about 45 Kms outside of Bogotá, about an hour bus-ride, transportation to and from the city by bus is very easy and economic ($2US), in the region you can explore old Muisca (indigenous group) hiking trails to see lagoons, volcanoes, hot springs, and many other outdoor activities, you can also try the local sport, Tejo, local gastronomy, horse back riding, sports fishing, and much more.
This is a laid back ,mainly farming community, most people work with cold-weather crops and the production of milk for its byproducts. This project is trying to bring options for locals and visitors to start thinking about and using alternative methods of construction and farming, as well as art alternatives as methods of expression.
