  We are a hostel, restaurant, and bar on the beautiful Philippine island of Boracay. Our hostel offers both dorms and private rooms, attracting international backpackers and Filipino vacationers alike. The restaurant and bar are connected to the hostel and serve both outside customers and hostel guests. We have a friendly and relaxed atmosphere here, and we are looking for someone to assist with the social aspects of the hostel, bar, and restaurant.

  We have a full-time staff of friendly Filipino employees with whom you will spend time and learn about Filipino culture and language. You will enjoy a variety of traditional Filipino dishes for your meals. As our social agent, you will also meet hostel guests and restaurant/bar customers from all over the world. From the guests, you can get travel advice and share stories. You will also gain experience in social media marketing and digital engagement.

  Help

  The kitchen, bar, and hostel are all run by full-time employees. We're looking for a "social agent" to help us improve the social aspects of our business, both on-site and online. The volunteer will contribute by posting on social media accounts as well as increasing our customers' digital engagement with the company (gathering reviews on tourism platforms or booking sites, bringing attention to our social platforms). On-site, the volunteer will interact with our guests, ensure that all bar and restaurant patrons are having a good time, and organize simple group activities such as going to watch the sunset at the beach. We want someone who genuinely cares about helping our business succeed by helping to make sure that all guests are enjoying their visit with us.
  
  We are looking for someone who is outgoing and social, who enjoys interacting with all of our guests, and who is full of energy. Experience with social media is also advantageous.
  
  The volunteer must have a strong level of English in order to communicate with our international guests as well as our Filipino staff (who speak English). Of course, other languages are a plus too!!
  
  You will be asked to work for 5 hours per day, 5 days per week.

  Accommodation

  You will be given a bed in a shared dorm with our hostel guests. The rooms and shared bathrooms are clean, with towels, hot showers, soap, and a good wifi connection. You will also be able to join our full-time staff for two free meals per day (lunch and dinner) of delicious Filipino food prepared by our restaurant chef. Our restaurant and bar also serve food and drinks for very affordable prices. and you can benefit from Staff discount (20% off Food and 10% Off Drinks)

  What else ...

  Boracay is a very popular beach getaway destination, and the island is filled with opportunities for water activities (sailing, kite surfing, diving, swimming, and more). There are also plenty of places to go shopping, eat, drink, and relax during your free time, although you can chill right here in the hostel and restaurant too! We are located in a convenient location right between the two beach sides of the island and you can walk to either beach, plus many shops and activities, very easily.

  Our wifi connection is strong and our previous volunteer worked part-time remotely without issue. There are many places you can sit and work. Over 15 hours per week of remote work is not recommended since you'll be working here as well.
