    Description

Hey I am Robbert, single dad from Amsterdam, living with Lucy (9) near Lagoa Portugal. We live on a community/camping where mostly families (mainly German/Dutch) live in tiny houses and construct their home environments. There is a village square where the children play and events are hosted as as a nice swimming pool/bar on the man campsite. My day time activities include astrology and making music, sometimes from home and also from a co-work space in Silves. We have a piece of land on Oasis that needs to be developed, which involves creating more stability on rocky grounds. It involves constructing wooden fences and structures and making raised bed garden. We live about 7 kilo from the sea and there many (surf) beaches nearby. Also Portimao and Silves are close by. We like that the workawayer can sometimes eat with us in the evening or play some games. Its also possible to cook in the caravan. The host likes to talk about history, culture, politics or philosophy. Its also possible to connect with the other people in the community, especially by the pool people are quite open.

We can eat/work together and have compelling talks about the state of the world and even our roles in there as the host is an astrology expert who is versed how to apply cosmic thinking into daily life. We speak our languages as well. The host is open to learn more basic fixing and building skills and will often assist the workawayer.

We are working on different wooden structures around the house. Making a fence or a cover for the laundry machine. We also have plans to develop the garden. It depends a bit on the qualities of the guest but in general a basic affinity with outdoors, woodwoork and basic tools would be a good connection. For the more upscale work we usually hire a local carpenter.
