  A charming Bed and Breakfast that offers a warm and comfortable stay in the heart of town. The property was originally owned by the Ngetha family, and now it's yours to enjoy. Our goal is to help you discover some of the town's hidden gems and create unforgettable memories. We welcome you with open arms and hope to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. A PLACE WHERE A THOUSAND STORIES CAN BE TOLD. AND NEW MEMORIES CAN BE CREATED.
  
  We currently have 4 inhouse staff all from the community. Currently hiring a chef but in the meantime we make the food ourselves for the guests since we are fairly new and don't have a lot of traffic yet.

  When you volunteer with us, you get to live and interact with me and my family, You are more than welcome to eat and cook with us. During your off days, I would be happy to show you around, we are not too far from a lot of recreation centers that are a bit far from the city.

  Overview:
  
  We are seeking a passionate and culturally curious individual to join our team as a Marketing and Communications Assistant volunteer. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our marketing and social media teams to promote cultural exchange by managing booking and collaborations, marketing, and participating in on-ground activations.
  
  Responsibilities:
  
  Assist with managing booking and collaborations, including communicating with potential partners and coordinating logistics
  Collaborate with the social media team to create and schedule engaging content for our social media platforms
  Support the implementation of social media marketing campaigns
  Participate in on-ground activations, such as events and fundraisers, to promote our organization and engage with the community
  Help with other marketing and communications tasks as needed.
  If you would be willing to partner with me to create social media content, that would be swell, this would possibly involve taking pics or videos as per the calendar.
  
  Requirements:
  
  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  Ability to do tasks independently and as part of a team
  Enthusiasm for our organization's mission and values
  Previous marketing or communications experience is a plus, but not required.
  Own laptop.
  
  Time Commitment:
  
  We ask for a commitment of at least 5-10 hours per week, with a flexible schedule. This volunteer position is available for a minimum of 1 month, with the opportunity for extension based on performance and availability.

  We are in a region that predominantly speaks our native language specifically to this area, Kikuyu. So we can teach you that. I however speak a bit of French, fluent in English and Swahili.

  All meals will be provided.

  With your time off, you can arrange for trips around. If you are a hiker, there is Mt. Kenya. Also, a lot of animal sightseeing spots. You can go to nearby homes to integrate with the community. We are 2 hours away from the city if you wish for a more metropolitan feel of Kenya and is about 5 dollars to get there.
