Description
If you would like to be part of an exciting ecology program that we are the host for you! We are a family living in a beautiful village in Ontario close to the Quebec border in Canada. We are an hour outside Montreal, and an hour south of Ottawa! Cedar Crest is our home, a 25 acres rural property, with private forest and fields. We have four miniature horses, and three pet dogs! We would love to host you. Our goal of Cedar Crest is to offer alternate holistic healing programs. We need help opening up the original trails through our forest, and preparing for the opening of the sanctuary. If a strong hand and enthusiasm for nature fits your profile, then consider letting us host you. If you want to learn about Canadian forest habitation and wildlife, trail cutting, and real Canadian country folk, then live with us for a few days, weeks or months! Maybe you’re an Eco student, or planning on working with animals, or studying to be an Outdoor Ed teacher ? This is a bilingual Francophone/ Anglophone neighbourhood, so ideally you would speak English or French. We have a beautiful house that you can stay in, with a separate bedroom. We all love to cook, so you’ll be given great meals every day. We have a large swimming pool, and hot tub, so if you want to relax at the end of the day, our place will be your home for the time you are with us.

Accommodation
We have a an extra bedroom in the family home. It’s large, private and comfortable.
We eat meals together as a family so you’d be expected to help out at mealtime, with the preparation and cooking, and after with clean up.
What else ...
We are close to both Montreal and Ottawa, both cities very accessible directly from our local train station, and both full of culture and history. Toronto is also accessible easily by train or car. We would figure out in advance what days of the week you’d like to have as free time. We have typical rural Wi-Fi so I wouldn't recommend spending time online. We have cable tv and several lounge rooms to relax in the evenings. There is a large outdoor pool to cool off in. We are private people, and like a quiet chilled home. This would suit a ‘go getter’ morning person!
