    Description
My name is Kasiet, I am from Bokonbaevo near the beautiful lake of Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan. I run a small school with courses in mental arithmetic, Turkish, Chinese, Russian, Speech Therapy, Speed Reading and English. We have 8 teachers helping with the different courses, however we are looking for a native english speaking volunteer to help our students gain experience in conversational English.

I am also trying to develop our social media presence to reach more people and grow our school. Thus, any experience in social media marketing would be fantastic.

I am a mother of two, but live close to the rest of my family. Female volunteers would stay with me and my sons, and male volunteers would stay with my parents, brother, sister and sister in law. Bokonbaevo is a lovely town surrounded by snow capped mountains and is close to Issyk Kul. The area is rich in culture and tradition, all of which we are excited to share with you. Pervious volunteers have enjoyed staying in yurt camps, swimming, hiking, horse riding and even holding a gold eagle!

My brother also keeps bees and makes the most delicious honey! We love to make jam and food preseves, and if you come between September and November we could teach you to too.

Kyrgyzstan is a stunning place, with varied landscapes from green pastures, to snow capped mountains. There are so many amazing things to see and do: hot springs, ski resorts, canyons, lakes, mountain climbing, horseback riding, eagle hunting, nomadic life, festivals, holidays and events. Bokonbaevo is also famous for having managed to preserve lots of ancient kyrgyz traditions such as felt making, yurt making, eagle hunting and much more!

We are looking for native English speaking volunteers to help teach at our school. They will run some lessons independently and assist in others. The main aim is to give our students the chance to practice speaking english and to perfect their pronunciation. Our students range from 9 to 17 so prior experience working with or teaching young people is helpful. Most of our students also speak Russian so volunteers speaking some Russian is helpful but not necessarily. The children are always excited to meet new volunteers and are very welcoming. Previous volunteers have commented on how bright, playful and fun they are to work with.

We are also looking for volunteers with experience in social media marketing as we are hoping to grow our school and reach more people. If you have any knowledge of how to market online or how to use photoshop and editing programs this would be fantastic for us.
