Welcome to our little farm in Portugal🌿🐾
We are looking for help with daily tasks from February to early April 2026.
We live on a small, quiet farm in Portugal, surrounded by nature and animals.
Our farm is home to dogs, cats, pigs, and chickens.
Tasks include:
Assisting with animal care and spending time with the animals
Walking the dogs
Mucking out the stables
Small maintenance or practical tasks
Occasional cooking
The time commitment is approximately 2 hours per day, with a relaxed and flexible schedule.

Someone who loves animals, is independent, and appreciates a peaceful, nature-oriented lifestyle.
Digital nomads, people taking a sabbatical, or those on a workation would also be a great fit.
Cooking together is always welcome – no strings attached.
About us:
We are Richy (55) and Titilayo (50) from Hamburg. Since January 2021, we have been living in northern Portugal, fulfilling our dream of a small, sustainable farm.
We are vegetarian, mostly vegan, but don't expect the same from others.
We have both been alcohol- and drug-free for several years, after consciously deciding to change our lives. This sober lifestyle has become second nature to us and makes us very happy. It is important to us to share this experience with others in an open and respectful way.
Our dog Caleb and our cat Mikosch have been part of our family for four years. A year later, our dog Luna joined us. Since then, our little family farm has grown, and we're delighted to welcome our newest family members: Gustavo (cat), L'otty (cat), our three pigs Thelma & Louise and their brother Oscar – as well as our chickens.

Für den Zeitraum Februar bis Anfang April 2026 suchen wir Unterstützung im Alltag.
Wir leben auf einer kleinen, ruhig gelegenen Farm in Portugal, umgeben von Natur und Tieren.
Auf unserer Farm leben Hunde, Katzen, Schweine und Hühner.
Die Aufgaben umfassen:
Mithilfe bei der Tierpflege und Zeit mit den Tieren
Spaziergänge mit den Hunden
Stall ausmisten
kleine handwerkliche oder praktische Arbeiten
gelegentliches Kochen
Der Zeitaufwand beträgt etwa 2 Stunden pro Tag, mit einem entspannten und flexiblen Tagesablauf.

Wen wir uns gut vorstellen können:
Jemanden, der Tiere mag, selbstständig ist und einen ruhigen, naturnahen Alltag schätzt.
Auch digitale Nomaden, Menschen in einer Auszeit oder auf Workation passen sehr gut.
Gemeinsames Kochen ist gerne möglich – ganz ohne Verpflichtung.
Das sind wir:
Wir sind Richy (55) und Titilayo (50) aus Hamburg. Seit Januar 2021 leben wir im Norden Portugals und erfüllen uns hier den Traum einer kleinen, nachhaltigen Farm.
Wir ernähren uns vegetarisch, größtenteils vegan, erwarten das aber nicht von anderen.
Beide leben wir seit einigen Jahren alkohol- und drogenfrei, nachdem wir uns bewusst entschieden haben, unser Leben zu verändern. Dieser nüchterne Lebensstil ist für uns selbstverständlich geworden und macht uns sehr glücklich. Es ist uns wichtig, diese Erfahrung in einer offenen und respektvollen Weise mit anderen zu teilen.
Zu uns gehören seit vier Jahren unser Hund Caleb und unser Kater Mikosch. Ein Jahr später kam unsere Hündin Luna dazu. Inzwischen ist unsere kleine Familienfarm weiter gewachsen, und wir freuen uns über unsere neuen Familienmitglieder: Gustavo (Katze), L’otty (Katze), unsere drei Schweine Thelma & Louise und ihr Bruder Oscar – sowie unsere Hühner.
Wir freuen uns darauf, dich bald auf unserer kleinen Farm kennenzulernen.

Spending time with our animals is not only fun but also deeply rewarding. It offers a welcome change of pace from everyday tasks – calming, grounding, and almost meditative.
Our dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, and rooster each have their own unique personalities, and they teach us something new every day. By observing and caring for them, you can gain wonderful insights into animal behavior, communication, and the quiet wisdom they bring to our lives. We believe this connection is one of the most special aspects of our farm, and we love to share it with our helpers.
Working together in the fields, we are happy to pass on the knowledge we’ve gathered so far. On hikes, we enjoy sharing interesting stories about the history and traditions of the Lafões region. Cooking and baking also become moments of exchange – we can learn from each other’s recipes, and you might like to try baking sourdough bread in our traditional wood-fired oven.
To make your stay even more memorable, we also take our helpers to discover hidden gems of the region – quiet mountain trails, breathtaking viewpoints, and waterfalls where you can simply relax and enjoy nature at its best.

We ask for about 5 hours of help a day, 5 days a week. Weekends are free, except for one day when we love to go on shared trips together.

Accommodation
What we offer in return:
Accommodation in our caravan (suitable for individuals or couples)
3 meals per day: we provide everything needed for breakfast and lunch, and in the evening we treat you to a freshly cooked, delicious vegetarian dinner.
A fully equipped outdoor kitchen with stove, oven and fridge where you are free to cook or bake as you wish. There is also a separate bath house with shower and compost toilet.
What else ...
On the weekends there is an organic market, there are great hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls. Only 15 minutes away by car are the spa town of São Pedro do Sul and the small town of Vouzela. Those who like the sea will find what they are looking for in Aveiro or in Porto. Aveiro is just under an hour away and Porto takes around 1h20.
