  Welcome to our little farm in Portugal🌿🐾
  
  We are Titilayo (50) and Richy (55) from Hamburg, Germany. A few years ago we fulfilled our dream of a small farm in northern Portugal, and we’d love to share this adventure with you.
  
  Our family includes two friendly dogs, four curious cats, three happy pigs, and a lively flock of chickens with their proud rooster. Animals are at the heart of our daily life and bring us so much joy.
  
  How you can help:
  We’re currently looking for support with:
  
  Olive harvesting
  
  DIY and creative projects around the farm and caravan
  
  Spending time with and caring for our animals
  
  Bringing fresh ideas and creativity into our little paradise
  
  
  What we offer in exchange:
  
  Accommodation in our caravan (ideal for individuals or couples)
  
  3 meals per day: you’ll find everything you need for breakfast and lunch, and in the evening we’ll spoil you with a delicious home-cooked vegetarian dinner
  
  A fully equipped outdoor kitchen and a separate bath house with shower and compost toilet
  
  
  Our lifestyle:
  We’ve been living alcohol- and drug-free for six years, and our home is the perfect place for anyone wanting a break from stress, free from substances and digital overload. While we’re not strictly vegetarian ourselves, we cook vegetarian dinners and are open and tolerant to all lifestyles.
  
  Free time & weekends:
  Weekends are free, and once a week we love to take our helpers on an excursion together – whether it’s hiking in the Serra da Arada mountains or visiting one of the stunning waterfalls in the beautiful Lafões region.

  Spending time with our animals is not only fun but also deeply rewarding. It offers a welcome change of pace from everyday tasks – calming, grounding, and almost meditative.
  
  Our dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, and rooster each have their own unique personalities, and they teach us something new every day. By observing and caring for them, you can gain wonderful insights into animal behavior, communication, and the quiet wisdom they bring to our lives. We believe this connection is one of the most special aspects of our farm, and we love to share it with our helpers.
  
  Working together in the fields, we are happy to pass on the knowledge we’ve gathered so far. On hikes, we enjoy sharing interesting stories about the history and traditions of the Lafões region. Cooking and baking also become moments of exchange – we can learn from each other’s recipes, and you might like to try baking sourdough bread in our traditional wood-fired oven.
  
  To make your stay even more memorable, we also take our helpers to discover hidden gems of the region – quiet mountain trails, breathtaking viewpoints, and waterfalls where you can simply relax and enjoy nature at its best.

  What we would welcome from our helpers:
  
  We ask for about 5 hours of help a day, 5 days a week. Weekends are free, except for one day when we love to go on shared trips together.

  Accommodation

  What we offer in return:
  
  Accommodation in our caravan (suitable for individuals or couples)
  
  3 meals per day: we provide everything needed for breakfast and lunch, and in the evening we treat you to a freshly cooked, delicious vegetarian dinner.
  
  A fully equipped outdoor kitchen with stove, oven and fridge where you are free to cook or bake as you wish. There is also a separate bath house with shower and compost toilet.

  What else ...

  On the weekends there is an organic market, there are great hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls. Only 15 minutes away by car are the spa town of São Pedro do Sul and the small town of Vouzela. Those who like the sea will find what they are looking for in Aveiro or in Porto. Aveiro is just under an hour away and Porto takes around 1h20.

  Two workstations are available in our caravan. In front of the caravan there is a cosy terrace with a view of our vegetable garden, where you can also work. There is a portable WiFi router that provides 10 Mbps.
