Description
Please read everything before contacting us.
We are a small family, living in Senja in Northern Norway. We live by the coast on a small hobby farm with a dog, cats and a few chickens. We always have some small projects going on, and usually a couple too many. From our place it is a short distance to the sea, nature with fishing lakes, spectacular mountains and untouched landscape. So, a stay with us is the perfect way to experience unique nature along the way.
We would like you to participate in daily household chores, simple gardening tasks, cooking or food preservation, and helping with homework. I am sure we can find something yet to be done that suits your interests.
We are also happy to facilitate participation in beach cleanup projects during certain times of the year. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
In our area there are opportunities for organized trips in Senja, see the northern lights in winter, it is 20 minutes car drive to the nearest small town with shops, pubs and concerts. Within walking distance there is a 24-hour shop, hiking in the forest, fishing, church and playground.

Accommodation
You will have your own bedroom with space for a double bed (and possibly a mattress for families with children). We have a shared bathroom, kitchen and living room, as well as plenty of space outside.
-
What else ...
We have a various network of contacts in the local area and will be happy to help arrange nature experiences. Please note that in some places there may be a need for transport, and that we are not always able to provide that.
It is also a good starting point for a day trip to Tromsø. If you want to experience all of Northern Norway, it is a perfect stop between Lofoten-Vesterålen and Tromsø
We are happy to pick you up at Bardufoss Airport on arrival and departure.
Please note that we can NOT help with visa applications to Norway.
We also expect good behavior and consideration for any minor children in the household. -

Can host digital nomads
We would recommend using libraries and cafes for this type of work, as we are a family with children and do not have office space available. We primarily want social interaction and help with common household chores that can be done together or individually. There are office spaces within walking distance that can be rented for meetings or longer stays.
-
Space for parking camper vans
We have a large yard with the possibility of parking a caravan or motorhome. You can use power supply and a shared bathroom in the house.
-
Can possibly accept pets
We accept all types of animals that are legal in Norway and cannot pose a danger to children, other animals or the environment.
