Welcome to all our fellow visionary who wants to transition the world into a permaculture land of living ! We plan a new "living" cohousing located in the small rural town of Coaticook. This cohousing project will be generous to nature, generous to community and generous to future generations. We are living on the site of this project under development since 5 years, along with our young boy, 2 cats and 3 silly charmy goats. We need help to transition this land into a cohousing oriented on life regeneration (ecologically and socially as well). In 2017, we opened a small guest house as the first stage of our cohousing development plan. This alternative housing project also received this year his first stage of approval from the city council. In parallel, Chloe is starting a nature outdoor oriented kindergarden. Permaculture design and improvement of our wooden land continue to progress step by step on a very long term vision.
Coaticook is a really nice small town to discover with lot of things to do around, you're not like prisoner deep into a forested area, but part of a small rural town with a large natural park in the middle. Come and see !
We are located in a 10 000 people eastern township town, 30 minutes from the larger city of Sherbrooke.

Helpers will learn about the process of creating an eco-village or cohabitat as well as learn practical permaculture design and eco-construction technique. We are both alternative artist-architects. We try to merge participatory process, art and eco-urbanism to build an healthy future.
It is a place for people who loves to meet other people.
We have a very organic and circular way of working, where diversified task are growing in parallel. Thats help everyone to contribute where his skills are. Everything you know about eco-design and permaculture could improve our plan. We spend time outdoor everyday, working a little on the forest, gardens or eco-building works. We also have to clean the 2 rooms of the Hostel about every day and to welcome new visitors. Depending on the weather, our tasks may vary from design, management and planning to the "doing" aspects of things. People enjoying children can even take care of our funny boy so that we can focus on specific things.
Depending on your preferences and the time of your stay, we can either offer you a small tent in our beautiful mature forest or a small square room. Both include access to a common building with kitchen, laundry and WC. You can enjoy a very charmy place with plenty of natural areas around, a bus stop at 5 min foot walk, Internet access, fire camp site, 3 silly goats running free, and our 2 years young boy joking everytime ! Food is included with your stay but food preparation is a shared task we consider as normal. We love to exchange cooking tips.
Last thing, we are veggies (almost vegans) and we do not accept smokers even if it is just outside (sorry).
