Family of 7, 14 horses, 120 sheep, five cats and a dog. Just on last stages of huge restoration project of an ancient farmhouse and garden. We also have 100 acres of land.
I am looking for someone with good outdoor skills, particularly farm machinery, fencing and tree/ hedge planting. Any building/carpentry skills would be welcome.
Some help in the house (cooking particularly) would also be useful.
If you can ride competently or have any experience of stable work, that would be good too. We breed horses as well.
We are happy to have couples or single people.
We are about half an hour from Oxford, just outside a lovely country town in a friendly lively village so a driving licence would be necessary.
We are lively, friendly and busy!
We are an English/Zimbabwean household and also speak French. We have a wide variety of livestock and land-related tasks which would give an opportunity to learn on the job. No two days would be the same!
Help with all the things ticked above. I need an extra pair of hands on the farm, particularly with land care and management. We are also lambing from February.
We are looking for someone preferably for several months.
We would need help at the weekends but would give two days off in the week. We are also happy to pay for more hours than the expected volunteer hours.
