We CAN'T HOST anyone from May to August this year!!!
We are a french-japanese couple with 2 girls (born in 2013 & 2014) living in the mountains of Japan. We are very much interested in living simply and in harmony with our surroundings. We are jangling between different jobs all through the year as well as doing homeschooling part time.
The village we live in is a very popular ski resort in winter and great getaway for the city folks in the green season, to enjoy camping, hiking, etc.....

Japanese culture being just so different from anywhere else, guests will be immediately immersed in it. Guests can experience mountain life in a rural japanese village. The 4 seasons are very distinct here, and the highlights vary quite a bit, from deep powder snow in winter to swimming in the lake on hot summer days... Lots of outdoors, onsen, food and more to discover!

Help
Help will really depend on the season and how busy we are at that time, as it is subject to change. Details can be discussed closer to date but here is the idea:
-Winter is the busiest season for us. Thousands of tourists come for skiing in Hakuba. We are doing house rental and need help with cleaning. Cooking dinners and spending time with kids will be the kind of help we would need.
-In the spring, summer and fall, we usually do odd jobs around the house, gardening, landscaping, cutting wood, fixing things, and again, spending time with kids.

【With children】
Someone who can share the following skills: music, art, languages(especially English and French), cooking, craft, outdoors and so on. There are times when they go to local school as well, then jobs will vary.
Also we will appreciate guests who can share our lifestyle and rhythm. We particularly care about children and are spending lots of time with them. We love to learn new things!
We try to refrain from doing too much screen time around the kids!

Accommodation
Private bedroom in the house. Depending on the season, staying at the family house or the staff house. We would eat meals together. If you are vegetarian or vegan, please let us know in advance. One of our daughter is pescatarian but otherwise we eat meat, fish and dairy products.
(spacious enough for a couple but also fits for a family with 2 kids, depending on the time of the year)
What else ...
We would like to meet people who share the same values and learn, share ideas. We also think that could be a great opportunity for our children to have company at home.
