  An international Erasmus mobility project is still looking for French or German students to join the group!
  
  Do you want to spend time in nature, meet young people from other countries, and learn useful life skills?
  Join a project that's both fun and meaningful, where young people like you come together to grow, create, and take action for a better world!
  
  In this project, you will:
  🌱 Learn to take care of yourself and the planet
  🧘 Discover yoga, meditation, outdoor activities, and healthy cooking
  🍲 Cook delicious vegetarian meals with fresh garden produce
  🔧 Make things with your hands – like repairing objects or building simple tools
  👫 Live and work with people from different countries
  💬 Discover new cultures and maybe even new languages
  🌎 Understand how your daily choices can help the Earth
  🎒 No need to be an expert – just come with an open mind, ready to learn, and have fun!
  
  Are you ready to get back to your roots with a group of young people from Germany, Italy, and France?

  Note: The stay is free - accommodation, food, and activities are funded by the European Union. There is even a travel package for the French for 28 Euros, for the Germans for 300 Euros.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  I am originally german-italian and moved to France 15 years ago. I grew up in the Middle-East, Africa and the UK. We spent 4 years renovating this 18th century farm and continue to improve the 30 hectars of land each year.
  
  We can share natural building and gardening skills. Over the years we have hosted many workawayers and volunteers and we have always enjoyed these exchanges.

  We are looking for young people aged 18 to 30 from Germany and France.
  
  To participate, you must:
  ✅ Be curious, open-minded, and ready to live simply, close to nature
  ✅ Have a good level of English to understand others and express yourself (no need to be perfect!)
  ✅ Be eager to meet young people from other countries and learn together
  ✅ Want to explore themes such as sustainability, community living, and living close to nature
  ✅ Be comfortable with camping and willing to share daily tasks in a small community
  
  We welcome participants from rural or urban areas—especially if you feel the need to reconnect with nature, learn practical skills, and experience something new and meaningful.

  Nous recherchons des jeunes âgés de 18 à 30 ans, venant d'Allemagne et France.
  
  Pour participer, tu dois :
  ✅ Être curieux·se, ouvert·e d’esprit et prêt·e à vivre simplement, au plus près de la nature
  ✅ Avoir un bon niveau d’anglais pour comprendre les autres et t’exprimer (pas besoin d’être parfait·e !)
  ✅ Avoir envie de rencontrer des jeunes d’autres pays et d’apprendre ensemble
  ✅ Vouloir explorer des thèmes comme la durabilité, la vie en groupe et le mode de vie proche de la nature
  ✅ Être à l’aise avec le camping et prêt·e à partager les tâches quotidiennes dans une petite communauté

  The Domaine de Chantemerle isn't just a place to sleep—it's a peaceful and inspiring place to learn, reconnect with nature, and share community life. It's also the headquarters of the association La Forêt du JE Libre, which runs a forest school.
  
  Located in Marsac, near Angoulême, in the Charente region (southwest France), this estate is a former 18th-century equestrian farm spanning 30 hectares of forests and meadows. It's a peaceful, environmentally friendly place, perfect for reconnecting with nature.
  
  🐴 The farm houses the region's first active stable, where horses live semi-free, in a more natural way.
  🌱 The buildings have been renovated with eco-friendly materials, and the farm follows sustainable practices. 🛠️ It's also a space for sharing and learning, with workshops on well-being, nature, and community living.
  
  🏕️ You'll be camping on site—tents are provided!
  Ideally, please bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, and sleeping mat (you'll also use it for yoga classes). We can also provide it!

  Le Domaine de Chantemerle n’est pas seulement un lieu où dormir — c’est un endroit paisible et inspirant pour apprendre, se reconnecter à la nature et partager la vie en communauté. C’est aussi le siège de l’association La Forêt du JE Libre, qui anime une école de la forêt.
  
  Situé à Marsac, près d’Angoulême, dans la région de la Charente (sud-ouest de la France), ce domaine est une ancienne ferme équestre du XVIIIᵉ siècle qui s’étend sur 30 hectares de forêts et prairies. C’est un lieu paisible, respectueux de l’environnement, parfait pour se reconnecter à la nature.
  
  🐴 La ferme abrite la première écurie active de la région, où les chevaux vivent semi-libres, de façon plus naturelle.
  🌱 Les bâtiments sont rénovés avec des matériaux écologiques et la ferme suit des pratiques durables.
  🛠️ C’est aussi un espace de partage et d’apprentissage, avec des ateliers autour du bien-être, de la nature et de la vie collective.
  
  🏕️ Vous serez en camping sur place — les tentes sont fournies !
  Dans le cas idéal, merci d’apporter votre sac de couchage, votre oreiller et votre tapis de sol (il vous servira aussi pour les cours de yoga). Mais nous pouvons aussi le fournir!

  What else ...

  This is the ideal position for a horse-lover! We have 16 horses on site, who all live on a paddock paradise trail (active stabling). For a good, sensitive rider there could be a possibility for riding one of our livery horses. We are located amidst 30 hectares of fields and forest. Only 20 minutes walk through nature is our local river for swimming, which we visit daily in summer. Angouleme is a 12 minute car drive - there are possibilities for organising lifts to town and back via Blablacars, or we can take you on the days when go in! Bordeaux is a 30 minute train ride away. The atlantic coast a 1,5 hour drive.
