    Description

    Hello, everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share the exciting journey I've embarked upon. My name is Mieke, a 55-year-old Belgian woman who made the life-changing decision to relocate from Belgium to the Hungarian lowland.

The main reason behind my move was to address a health condition called EHS (Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity). In order to improve my well-being and create a safe environment, I have chosen to live off-grid in a charming mud hut cottage. It's a peaceful haven where I can escape the electromagnetic pollution of modern technology.

Currently, I'm working on renovating my little cottage, and this is where I would greatly appreciate your support and assistance. I'm seeking help with various tasks such as renovating tasks like repairing floor tiles, repairing defects with ’loam’, preparing the laying of waterpipes (plumbery), moving and collecting wood, engaging in small wood construction projects, .... If you have any skills in these areas or simply have a passion for hands-on work, your expertise and enthusiasm would be invaluable to me.

Living without constant access to electricity and Wi-Fi has allowed me to reconnect with the simple pleasures of life. In the evenings, I enjoy engaging in stimulating conversations around the fire and indulging in board games or reading. It's a truly serene lifestyle that promotes a deep connection with nature and fosters a sense of community.

I must mention that due to my EHS condition, I limit my exposure to electromagnetic fields, and that includes the use of my phone. I have a cable internet connection and solar panels for charging batteries, but I only turn on my phone a few times a day for health reasons. If you plan to visit or stay at my place, it's important to be mindful of this unique aspect. There is possibility to go on the internet with laptop or tablet.

If you share my love for nature, have a knack for hands-on projects, and would like to contribute to the renovation and maintenance of my humble abode, I would be absolutely thrilled to welcome you. Together, we can create a harmonious sanctuary where tranquility and sustainability intertwine.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or are interested in joining me on this exciting journey. Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction, and I look forward to connecting with like-minded individuals who can help me bring my vision to life.

IMPORTANT: I speak Dutch, English, French and German.

    Warm regards,
    Mieke

    Accommodation

During your stay, you will have access to comfortable and private accommodation in the living room of my house. Or in a tent designed for three persons.

Please note that the off-grid nature of the place means that there is no conventional sewer system. However, you will have access to well-maintained and clean outside toilet and shower facilities. These facilities have been thoughtfully designed to provide a balance between comfort and the sustainable lifestyle of the off-grid setting.
Soon there will be an i side dry toilet and we will be working on the installeert of a real shower. In the near future I will have partial elektricity, only in the second building.

Your accommodation is thoughtfully designed to provide a balance between comfort and immersion in nature. It offers a unique opportunity to disconnect from modern conveniences and embrace a more sustainable and eco-friendly way of living.

I eat 3 meals a day, so you get them too!
However, my meals are very simple, mostly veggie , meat from time to time. I have a low budget what also determines the kind of things I eat.
It woud be good to spend time together on making food or dividing the task.
