  Description

  NOTICE: Have space for a couple to stay December and stay till March. Ideally already in Japan
  We have a 7-room hotel with an onsen and restaurant. But our main focus is design, furniture making and renovations. Currently, we are preparing for the winter season, where we operate as ski-in/ski-out accommodation. We hope to invite workawayers to experience a side of Japan which isn't seen by most tourists.
  Over the past 5 years, we have created a community with local farmers, chefs and carpenters to help with our projects. We regularly participate in local events and hope to have you join us.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  It's a good opportunity to learn about life in the Japanese countryside. There are lots of hiking, natural onsen and waterfalls, a lake, fishing, swimming etc and lots of snow in winter. Known for powder snow, our area is great for skiing and snowboarding, with a variety of terrain for all levels.
  
  We have a couple of Japanese staff working with us, which provides great opportunities to practice the language and learn about the local area.

  Help

  We are currently looking for workawayers to help set up/prepare the properties for the winter season. Tasks range from cleaning, painting and simple maintenance. There are some small carpentry projects which we need help with, for those who have the skills/experience.
  
  During the season, we look for those who can help out with housekeeping and snow clearing.
  We are able to provide accommodation and a minimum wage for your time/work.

  We have a nice hotel room available for you in our boutique hotel next door, currently the hotel is closed so you will have a large guest bedroom to yourself. Also with access to our onsen (hot spring), lounge, kitchen the whole hotel really. During the winter season, we have staff accommodation with the same amenities.

  The local train station is Myoko Kogen station. We have a car that is available to use if you have an international license.
