Within the family for five generations the land where our glamping is located was abandoned for a long period of time. The eucalyptus trees and the bush ruled up until 2012, when Hugo decided to come here after earning his degree in Guides of Nature. Step by step, rock by rock he created a farm together with his father. In 2018 we started the construction of our glamping and in 2019 we opened the doors to our little paradise.
Our glamping is located on the Island of São Jorge, Azores. It is constituted by 4 yurts, each one with its private bathroom, a communal kitchen, a main house and a certified organic farm. We are open for tourism all year around.
But let me tell you a bit more about us. Hugo received a degree in Guides of Nature and is a permaculture enthusiast. His passion for plants motivated him to build and develop our farm. Natacha received a degree in Social and Cultural Communication and earned a Master´s Degree in Women´s Studies. In 2012 she followed her heart and moved to the Island of São Jorge. She is a health coach, yoga instructor and author of the book Back to Natural.

The Island of São Jorge is known for its innumerable and magnificent fajãs (flat surfaces near the sea, created from collapsing cliffs or lava flows). We have more than 70! In 2016 the fajãs were classified by UNESCO as Biosphere Reserves. Many of them do not have car access being the only option to go on foot. The trail Topo-Fajã of Caldeira de Santo Cristo is a must-see! This fajã is known for its lagoon and tasty clams.
If you like adventure sports there are companies on the island specialized in this type of activities that include, for example, diving, climbing, abseiling and canyoning.
São Jorge has beautiful places where you can go for a swim. However, instead of beaches here you will find small ports or natural swimming pools. Hereby there are different places to swim, the nearest is a 5-minute walk and is called pier of Terreiros.
São Jorge does not have a public transport network, but it´s easy to hitchhike.
