Description
We, family of 4, live in the beautiful area of Denia in the costa blanca of Spain. Together with our horses (4) and dogs (3) we have a 1,5 hectare plot that we are turning into a natural oasis step by step.
As we have planted many plants and trees on this big plot there is a lot of work to keep the weeds away, the plants and fruit trees trimmed and the animals fed and cared for. Next to this we are also working on creating a nice vegetable garden.
The mornings between the animals are amazing and the views to the Mountain are magnificent. Our plot houses many different birds that often give us a free concert to enjoy.
We are therefore looking to find someone who has an affinity for and preferably experience with horses and other animals and who likes to be out and about in nature. A hands-on person who can help a few hours a day with the day to day chores life on a 'farm' brings in exchange for a free accommodation here on our plot. Of course there will be plenty of free time to enjoy the surrounding nature, beaches, mountains and area as well!
We have a natural way of keeping our animals. The horses all live in 1 big group and are never confined to stables. The dogs live a happy life outside on our plot and help us guard and keep us company.
We have a nice little casita with its own bathroom, kitchen and outside patio, internet, television and heating/cooling that can sleep 2. Another option is to come over with your own caravan or camper (but as we cannot offer electricity for this on the plot) it would need to be able to generate its own power.
We would prefer someone who can stay for at least 2 weeks or, preferably, longer. Timelines and details can be discussed.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are a Dutch family of 4 which have lived in Spain for 3 years. We speak fluent Dutch and English and we can also communicate well in Spanish and German.
If you are interested in learning a new language, see a bit of the countryside of Spain without being too far away from populated areas, then our place is a great one to be.
I, Kim, am a natural horse trainer so I can show you a lot when it comes to interacting with animals.Help
We are looking to find someone who has an affinity for and preferably experience with horses and other animals and who likes to be out and about in nature. But anyone who is willing to learn is also welcome to contact us!
A hands-on person who can help a few hours a day with the day to day tasks life on a 'farm' brings in exchange for a free accommodation here on our plot. Who can help to fix something when its broken. Who can help to get rid of weeds between the plants and help keep up the vegetable garden (and help eat its produce!)
Of course there will be plenty of free time to enjoy the surrounding nature, beaches, mountains and area as well!
Or if you are interested I can teach you all about horses and their natural behavior and communication/training as I am a natural horse trainer.Languages

We have a nice little casita with its own bathroom, kitchen and outside patio, internet, television and heating/cooling that can sleep 2. It is very well insulated so also perfect to work remotely online if needed.
Another option is to come over with your own caravan or camper (but as we cannot offer electricity for this on the plot) it would need to be able to generate its own power through solar panels.
We are a family that likes enjoying different kinds of food, while making sure we do not consume too much meat and fish as we are aware of the impacts on nature. Therefore we also have vegetarian days and we are growing part of our food in our own vegetable garden). We like to learn also about dishes from other cultures.
Eating together is a possibility as well as cooking for yourself, depending on mutual wishes and agreements. What else ...
Are you motivated, hands-on and do you love nature, then why not contact us?!
We are only 5 mins away from the highway towards Alicante and Valencia, so many places to go and visit if you are interested to seeing more around here!
Having your own transport would be appreciated, but for the perfect match we can look into providing a car. Drivers lisenc e is needed!!
