Description
Hi!
Living here is myself - Andy (Kids have grown up and left home) Helene and Morten. I've been here on Workaway a few years now but not used it so much. There are 2 small houses and a big circus wagon, a small bike workshop, set in a beautiful garden with fruit and vegetables. We live near the sea, (2 minutes downhill by bike) on the Nesodden peninsula a short ferry trip from central Oslo. Nesodden is a creative community of 19000 people, it is steep, rocky, covered in rich forest and surrounded by many small beaches. We work with environmental stuff and for positive social change. There is usually some building work or maintenance work going on that I need help with. In 2023 I started renovating the circus wagon to make an multi-purpose micro house which will can eventually also be a room for visitors to live in. The wagon is a work of love and art - awaiting the right skilled artisans to add their touch. But there is often plenty of other lower level building/maintenance help needed. Gardening is a thing here too!
Please take contact if it sounds interesting.
We speak English, scandinavian (Norwegian) and I speak a little Spanish.
Warm regards

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We have lived here for many years and know the nature, networks of people and culture both as a native (Kjersti) and as a foreigner (Andy) who has lived here for most of his life. Norwegian language, native English, foraging of wild food, gardening, cycling, kayakking, wild swimming, walking and running in the forest, deep local community knowledge, general and alternative knowledge, experience of mens work, womens work and much life experience is what we have to offer - we are also inquisitive to hear about you and what you have to offer the world!
