Max and Annette have a horse ranch in the country but close to town. The Ranch was established in 1887 and is one of the oldest ranches in Canada. You will have private accommodation but have use of the main farmhouse for meals and showers. We usually have 10 to 12 horses plus our own horses and some dogs and cats. We need helpers who are fun loving people and who have or wish to gain some experience with the horses and learn about "natural horsemanship". There is also the opportunity to help with some maintainence jobs and the cooking! We are able to ride from the Ranch into the backcountry.
Besides staying at the Ranch there are great trails in the area and we trailer out to other areas. We are also close to some wonderful beaches on Okanagan and Skaha Lakes so there is the chance to enjoy many different watersports, including wind-surfing. The closest big town is Penticton B C and we are near Okanagan Falls. We are 90 minutes from Kelowna Airport and 15 minutes from Penticton Airport. Annette would also love to practice her Spanish!
If you would like to find out more information, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
We practice Natural Horsemanship so we love to introduce people to this concept for having fun with horses. We also take our visitors to historic cultural sites and visits to the First Nations Centres. We also live at the tip of the only desert in Canada. We therefore have very interesting vegetation.
