We are a complete 52 acre organic farm in a semi-arid region in South India!!! We started the farm about 4 years ago with a vision to build a self-sustaining organic ecosystem, with an aim to change agricultural practices in India and with a goal to give back to the society that raised us. Once a barren and arid mass of uncultivated land, the farm today is thriving with growth and activity. We grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, manage a seed bank, run a nursery, harvest rainwater, generate vermi-compost, conduct field training programs and sell produce at the farm gate. The farm is home to 4 permanent employees and additionally 10 daily-wage labor work as and when required. We have come a long way but we need all the help we can get to make the farm 100% productive and self-sustaining.
Me and my wife are a young, fun loving couple. Both of us have lived abroad in the past and we've now made the farm our home. We enjoy travelling, visiting other farms, experiment with cooking and meeting new people. We highly value cultural diversity and we look forward to teach, learn and share experiences with workawayers visiting us.
If you are looking to take a break, have some fun, experience new cultures and gain some farm knowledge along the way, we are the place for you. We would love to have you if you are someone who is ready to pluck fruit, cut weeds, feed cows, collect chicken eggs and do any handy job available.
If this sounds like something you have in mind, we would love to hear from you :)

Identifying different herbs and learning their uses in everyday life, learning the local language 'Tamil', and learning sustainable organic farming techniques will become an everyday norm while you are on the farm.
All this and more will provide you with a unique opportunity of experiencing the local Culture !!!
We believe in balance here on the farm and always try winding up by sun down. The farm is most active during the mornings and we require workawayers to work for at least 5 hours a day and 5 days a week.
The work can be physically demanding as sometimes learning new skills is challenging !
We need help in the following areas:
1. Plant Care - Sowing, Harvesting, Pulling Weeds, Applying Manure, Preparing Organic Fertilizers and so on
2. Animal Care - Animal feeding, Collecting Animal Dung, Cowshed/Poultry Maintenance etc
3. Farm Management - Marketing, Accounts, Sales etc
4. Handy Jobs - Building Mud Earth houses, Fixing Fences, Moving Wood, Painting Walls and the like
5. Daily Chores - Shopping, Cleaning, Helping in the Kitchen and so on
We would love to have you for longer but a minimum stay of 1 weeks is required !!
We are working on building beautiful mud-earth houses to accommodate workawayers, other volunteers and guests. Until this project is complete we have some temporary accommodation available for your use.
We have a container that has 2 rooms and 4 beds. Each room comes with an attached bathroom.
You could camp on the farm. The 52 hectare farm is big and beautiful and the winter months are exceedingly pleasant. If you choose to camp we have some camping gear available but we suggest you bring your own. Bathrooms are available for campers.
We have a fully operational kitchen that will cater to all your meals. The meals are communal and will be served in a timely fashion. If you have any special dietary needs or if you like to prepare your own meals you are welcome to use the kitchen provided you clean afterwards.
We expect you to keep the accommodation neat and tidy for the other workawayers !
Narikudi - It is 3 km away from the farm. Narikudi is an outpost town that will only cater to your basic necessities. It however has good connectivity to all the nearby cities via bus. It also has a railway station with limited connectivity.
Thiruchulli - It is 8 km from the farm. It is similar to Narikudi and has a few eateries if you are in a mood to eat something local. It is also the birth place of Ramana Maha Rishi, a famous south Indian sage. His home is still present in Thiruchulli and is a place of meditation.
Madurai- It is an hour and a half away from the farm via bus. Madurai has immense cultural and historical significance in the history of Tamil Nadu. In your free time you could tour the city, visit the ancient Meenakhshi temple and try its famous Veg and Non-Veg cuisine.
