Description
We are a small kennel in the woods near the mountains 3 hours north of Oslo, with 21 Siberians Huskies. We live in a small house, have wonderful hiking and mushing trails all year around.
We train our dogs regularly for races and tours in the mountains. No tourists, just us enjoying life outdoors.
"We" are Klaus and Wiebke and all the dogs, living here together in harmony with nature. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We can offer wonderful times with wonderful dogs, out on the sled in the mountains. We can teach you to take care of the dogs, go mushing and enjoy the Norwegian nature.
With us you will be a lot outside, use your body and cuddle a lot of dogs.
A stay with us will give you insight into a life with sleddogs, experiencing hard work, wonderful days and the possibility to learn more about both dogs, Norwegian wildlife and mushing. -
Help
We need someone who helps us with the dogs.
Mornings, letting them run, cuddle, clean the kennels and the runningyard, and feeding them.
Training runs, after some teaching during the day alone, otherwise together with us.
Evenings, letting them run, cuddle with them, clean and feeding.
Help with preparing meat, help around the kennels. Maybe help a little in the house as well. -

Accommodation
We offer a room in our house, with a good bed and everything provided that is needed.
We offer food on the table and in the fridge for all meals, and hope that you are willing to contribute to making dinner sometimes. -
What else ...
we live a bit away from public transport, so it would be easiest for you if you have a car or at least a driving license. During your time off you can go for hikes, drive around and have a look at for example Røros, a beautiful city 2 hours away from us.
