Description
My name is Rahul and Jaisalmer is my hometown, where I have a guesthouse and a camel safari business. I am looking for volunteers through Workaway to come to Jaisalmer and help me with some online marketing work. My guesthouse is located a minute walk from the main gate of the ancient beautiful fort of Jaisalmer, which you can see and enjoy a chai from our rooftop.
Types of help and learning opportunities
Creating/ Cooking family mealsHospitality/TourismLanguage practiceHelp with Computers/ InternetCultural exchange and learning opportunities
I love to meet other travelers and it is an honor to host and learn from other cultures, languages and philosophies. In exchange you will learn about my culture, about the Marwari language, and the very competitive desert safari market in Jaisalmer. All this will happen behind the scenes, and you will be able to see that a lot of work is done unknown to many.
Help
What I mostly need from volunteers is just a bit of help regarding online platforms and so on. Also engage in conversations with tourists and check if there is anything they might need. In general, the work here is pretty relaxed and I do not ask for too much. Just come enjoy the town and the desert vibes.

You will be provided with a very clean and comfortable double room, with an attached bathroom, and 24/7 running hot water via geyser, TV satellite and a Western toilet. We are a very small guesthouse, so in busier times, or in times of overbooking, you might to move downstairs to a less fancy room for one of two nights.
What else ...
You will see once you are here that the work is pretty relaxed and you will find yourself with a lot of time off to go around and out to explore the town and its surroundings. Jaisalmer is quite small and can be explored on foot with a lot of beatiful, very old havelis to find and drink a chai and enjoy the sunset.
