Description
Our family consists of myself and my 13 year old son who has some understanding of Spanish - mostly reading and listening. We have a happy home life with a wide circle of family and friends. I have travelled, worked & lived in many countries and enjoy exchanging perspectives on culture, social, arts, politics and history. I am seeking a native Spanish-speaking volunteer for garden & house work & Spanish conversation with my son. Due to travel & my son's activities, I'm interested in short term hosting - 1- 3 weeks. We live in the countryside, 1km from a small village, so someone who enjoys rural life would suit. We are approximately 100km from Dublin. Lots of heritage & historical places to explore around us & we have some flexibility to introduce guests to such places.

Help
I am looking for some someone with spirit and enthusiasm to have fun with and to help build the Spanish language of my 13 year old Mexican-born son, doing some garden & DIY chores while speaking to him in Spanish. He has a passive understanding of Spanish, but speaks only a little. We've hosted previous Spanish-speaking work away people in the past. He is active & interested in lots of things.... Music, cooking, rugby, mountain biking, lake swimming, history, computer games.

What else ...
We live in beautiful part of the country on the edge of a village (a little over an hour from Dublin). There is a daily indirect bus connection to Dublin. use of bike and car lifts to help explore the surrounding countryside and introduce a volunteer to Irish culture and history and many interesting sites in the area with lakes & hills. There are many festivals and heritage music and cultural events in the area and possibilities to learn new skills.
