Description
Experience Community, Coastline & Connection at our hotel
Nestled between the mountains and the sea in the charming coastal village of Pringle Bay, our hotel has been a beloved community landmark since 1952. With breathtaking views of the surrounding Hangklip mountain and just a short stroll from the beach, it’s a peaceful retreat where nature and nostalgia meet.
We’re a family-run business that thrives on connection—both with our guests and within our team. Whether it’s laughter over lunch on the sun-drenched deck, the rhythm of live music on a weekend, or quiet moments watching the waves, there’s a heartbeat to this place that’s hard to explain but easy to feel.
Our hotel is more than just a stay—it’s a gathering spot for travelers, locals, artists, and adventurers alike. Our small, dedicated team includes local staff who help us keep the magic alive—from preparing meals and maintaining rooms to greeting guests with a warm smile. Everyone plays a part in creating the laid-back, welcoming energy that defines Hangklip.
We love our little corner of the world, and we think you will too. Whether you’re drawn to the natural beauty, the sense of community, or the opportunity to be part of something meaningful, we’d love to welcome you into our family.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
We’re closing the hotel for 2.5 weeks to give it a fresh new glow, and we’re calling on energetic, hands-on Workawayers to join us for a creative and productive time of painting, DIY projects and garden work. Think sanding and painting walls, sprucing up outdoor spaces, helping us reimagine rooms, planting, building plant boxes, clearing of alien vegetation, tidying up outdoor areas, and bringing new life to old corners of the hotel.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with their hands, has an eye for detail, or simply loves the satisfaction of seeing real progress after a day’s work.
You’ll be working alongside us—the family—as well as some of our amazing local staff. We value teamwork and sharing knowledge, so expect a collaborative environment where we pitch in together and learn from one another as we go. Whether you’re already handy or just keen to get stuck in, your energy and enthusiasm are what count most.Languages

Deborah has a love for cooking so will be very excited to cook local food with a twist. Think fire cooking, braai's and potjies. We also have a outdoor pizza oven which we can light up and get her (her name is Penny) who also actually needs a rework of her hood, started.
