    Description

    Hello!

I live atop a beautiful mountain in a cloud forest in San Jose, Costa Rica. Just myself, my dog, a few chickens, and a lovely view. This is a very small town, with only a convenient store, bakery, and chicken shop in walking distance. We spend our days hiking, in the garden, fixing things around the lot and just enjoying the beauty. I'm welcoming workaways who are looking for somewhere to build homesteading skills and teach them! I am also new to this. It's very important to express that this is not a touristy area, in fact, I haven't seen another foreigner in many months. Please be interested in the simple things, if you plan to come here. However, there are is a national park, tourist attraction, the beach, and the city all with in a 30 minute to 3 hour car ride.

    Tasks and projects:

    Cleaning debris from the backyard
    Building raised bed gardens
    Harvesting
    Building simple structures
    Going into town
    Garden work
    Painting some furniture

It's very peaceful here. Quiet, not many people. The accommodation is a tent when I'm here and you will have the full cabin to yourself when I'm gone.It does get a bit nippy up here, lowest is 18 celsius at night. The area is very secure. There are 4 stores within a 20 minute walk or taxi to town with more stores for $8 there and back.

Tehuti, my dog will be your biggest responsibility when I'm gone. She is my whole heart, so please if you are not a dog person, do not apply. She does take some special care because she is a Xoloitzquentli Hairless and she is not necessarily a free range doggo like most of the tico doggos. This means leash walks daily and cream on her skin twice or thrice a week. She also has added protein and vitamins in her diet. Also, if im out of the country I'll ask for videos or pics daily. My next trip is for Nov/Dec.

A little about myself; I speak Chinese, English, and Spanish. I'm from The States. I'm very chill and peaceful. I really enjoy this space because its a great place to collect your thoughts, meditate and reconnect with essential yet most important things in life. The wifi is great and you can work remotely if needed.
