Description
We are a young couple living in a small hungarian speeking transilvanian village and are in the middle of our big adventure of having two babies and renovating our home. We work and take care of the earth, use only natural materials for our cob house, in the beginning of our way to a self-sustainable living we grow vegetables, grain, etc. aaaand we cultivate fruit trees and roses, which need a lot of attention. So basically our main projects right now are renovating the house with traditional techniques and gardening - all that next to two awesome children.
We both love to travel, but due to our current situation, we are happy to"travel" by receiving travellers and having exchange with foreigners. We speak hungarian, romanian, german, english and spanish.
Between mid-December and beginning of March we are not available.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
In the village we live in, its normal to hold pigs and chicken, gooses, sheep, horses and cows graze in the fields, and many people still use a horse charriot for transportation. In the market you can find homegrown fruits and vegetables and many home made products like dairy products, zakuszka, marmelades, tomato juice, wine, palinka etc.
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
The help we would like from you depends on the seasonal necesities of the garden. This can include nursing the breeded fruit trees, taking out unnecessary weeds, spraying biological substances for protection of the trees and other things which can occure spontanously.
Depending on the temperature and the condition of the house, the possibility to learn the traditional techniques of cob house construction can also emerge.
Spending time with the kids and cooking are also fun things you can do here :)Languages

You can sleep in our beloved caravan, where you have flowing cold water, a small kitchen and a fridge. In the garden there is a compost toilet you can use and for showering you can use our bathroom or go to the thermal bath in the village, it has amazing water, we love it!
Our eating times are flexible, but we can provide breakfast and one daily warm vegetarian food, and also depending on the season have fresh fruits and vegetalbes (and fish in the lake!).What else ...
A few hundred meters from our house there is a beautiful oak tree forest where youcan go for a walk (also picking mushrooms and seasonal herbs), by bus and train you can reach the mountains for hiking, the termal-bath is open all day. There is a bus conection to Oradea, the next bigger city if you feel like going shopping or just visiting the city.
