Description
Our organization seeks to empower the disadvantaged youth of Isithumba and kwaximba in particular. We are building a community that can plan,execute and sustain it own programs.
In the like of our experiences, we have come to realize that we need people with skills in some fields. We know that learning English in South Africa helps young individuals to express themselves in this South Africa that's so diverse.
We are looking for someone who loves playing with children and a person that's willing to teach the English language at least every Monday to Friday for one hour every day.
We are also in need of a person who can teach mathematics as it has proven to also be a challenge.
Apart from doing the teaching the volunteers have a chance to play with the children. Introduce new sporting activities and help with the administration in the organisation.
NB*️️️️️️️️️️, In addition, we are looking for a Volunteer that has interest and or interest in teaching. We are currently partnering with Social project executing School in a Box in surrounding high school. School in a box has South Africa‘s school curriculum hence we assist children with extra classes in schools, we use tablets funded by National lottery and other supportive business people.
the volunteer's tasks in this project will be to help with the everyday running of the farm and creating a brand image for our products (involves a bit of Marketing skills (not a must). you can still be involved in the sports programs but the main task will be in farming.
Additional- the project has grown to an extent that we are now needing volunteers for our restaurant and accommodation aspect of it or hospitality to be precise.

Our previous volunteers have recommended us for they felt that the experience they had is life changing. volunteers get a change to stay within a Zulu family and work closely with the locals. This is what we see as mutual benefit between the volunteer and the organization.

We are an education through sporting activities offering children an environment to play after school and during school Hours. we are based in the valley of thousand hills just 40minutes outside Durban.

A volunteer will be accommodated in a Zulu family, a family that has been hosting internationals for the past six years.
What else ...
We have managed to build a kiosk with which it aims at selling local products and help people of the area with scanning and printing and or also other communication related needs. At the moment we need help with door and window installation, the material is already there, however more help and or skills can assist in getting the Job done. Days become really short and worthwhile when one has so much to do and to learn in the beautiful valley of thousand hills.
