"Come as a traveller; leave as a friend"

Hola everyone and welcome to our hostel! We are situated in the heart of San Cristobal, just a few blocks away from Real de Guadalupe, one of the main roads with many popular bars and restaurants. We pride ourselves on being a clean, safe and economic option for travelers, as well as maintaining a friendly atmosphere for international tourists.

We have a total of 16 rooms and 2 dorms in a three-story property, located just 5 blocks away from the city center, and a ten minute walk to the local markets. We're also a quick walk away from the main bus terminal too.

We ideally like people who have a good attitude, are self-motivated, and can take initiative, as the Owner is not always available to give direction. The Owner will always be contactable by cellphone however, and will intermittently stop by the Hostel when available. We do have a full time staff on site at all times, so you will never be at the Hostel alone.

Please message us with any questions, and how you think you can help us with your suggestions, ideas, and skills.

We hope you consider us in your search for a place to volunteer and become a part of the local community here in San Cristobal.

We are looking for volunteers who can help in the following areas:

    1) Passing out flyers to arriving travelers

*An opportunity may also be available for a volunteer with Managerial skills to manage the hostel. Arrangements can be negotiated with the Owner, however a minimum commitment of 5 months would be necessary to make this work effectively.

Volunteers will work between 4 - 5 hours per day, 5 days a week, , we will rotate you between jobs, so each volunteer will get to experience each position equally. For positions that bring business into the hostel (ie: bartending and passing out flyers to arriving travelers), a small commission will be given to volunteers as an extra incentive. There will also be opportunities for the volunteers to create Hostel Events for the guests (Pizza Night, Taco Tuesday, etc) to earn some extra pocket change.

For volunteering with us, you receive:

    1) Free bed in one of our dorm rooms.
    2) Free breakfast everyday.
    3) Use of our communal, fully stocked kitchen.
    4) Purified drinking water.
    5) Use of our laundry facilities.
    6) Hot showers anytime of the day.
    7) 3 different wifi's that works all over the Hostel.

We ask for a minimum stay of two weeks, and welcome travelers looking to stay for longer periods as well.
