    Description

My name is Lana, the owner and creator of beautiful Lodge, a 20 room bungalow and tent EcoLodge in the rain forest of Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. Started in 2000, our lodge offers majestic canopy views of primary rain forest, yoga, spa, waterfall and trail hikes, wildlife kayak and hiking tours. Our full kitchen and dining room offers guests deliciously prepared organic, local, and homegrown produce daily. Our property is located on a hillside overlooking the Pacific ocean, and the beach is a just a 20 minute nature-walk away. Located on the border of the world-renowned Corcovado National Park, our lodge is a nature-lovers paradise, offering daily encounters with monkeys, birds, frogs, starry nights and much more. We have a close-knit team of employees who work as nature guides, cooks, office managers, servers, and maintenance workers. They love to play and watch soccer, hike, and really enjoy each other's company. Several have some English language skills and the rest are exclusive Spanish speakers. My wonderful 80 year old mother from Colorado, USA, also lives with us at the lodge. We are a lodge dedicated to preserving the rainforest and the peace and purity that an intimate relationship with nature brings.

Travelers will benefit from the beautiful tranquility of escaping to the rainforest. The gift of great food, yoga, and a friendly work environment go hand in hand with a stay here. They will likely gain Spanish language skills, small business management and guest relations skills as well. We have a working garden and kitchen, so travelers can benefit and learn from our team in those areas. Most importantly, our lodge is surrounded by some of the most biodiverse rainforests in the world. The chance to learn about wildlife and rainforest ecosystems is ever present.

We invite our volunteers to join our guests in daily yoga, soccer games with employees, hiking tours, kayaking, and visiting the beach. We are primarily a tranquil, nature-first retreat located in an isolated rainforest reserve. There are several nearby lodges which offer a lower price-point and typically have a younger clientele.
