    Description

This project is the proud creation of three well-travelled owners from Mexico, Canada, and Australia sharing values of community, personal growth, and respect. We are a dedicated bunch to working hard while cherishing time to enjoy life, making our hostel a place where all individuals can feel at home and extend their stays with us.

Our belief is simple, sustainable success lies in prioritising the guest experience. For us, a smile carries more value than a dollar. As a new business committed to growth, our mission is to meet backpackers' needs in the best way possible.

This project embraces the trial and error mindset and that perfect results come from the collective input. This is why learning, coaching, and mentoring through effort and teamwork are pillars of our success. We are approachable at all times and eager to help you be a better you.

We take pride in treating our volunteers with respect and understanding, welcoming you as you are while expecting active participation and dedication. Our environment thrives on strong, unique personalities and a can-do attitude ready to embrace challenges. Initiative excites us, and we are always open to finding better ways to evolve and succeed.

If this resonates with you, come join us at a place filled with smiles, collaboration, and community blending together for unforgettable experiences. Everyone is welcome, and if you can't find a position that fits you best, reach out to us - you might open a whole new world for us!

Beware of the dogs, with a passion towards animals, we really have a soft spot in our heart for abandoned doggos and try our best to support them. We currently have 3 pups running around and offer great companionship.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We love to host film nights, trivia nights, family dinners, and more. We greatly encourage our volunteers to set up activities that they like!

We all meet for breakfast daily, host family dinners weekly, and spend a lot of time socialising together.

When we host family dinners, we often cook authentic Mexican food, and love to share and teach our techniques with whoever is interested in learning and giving it a try! We also take our time to explain where the dish comes from, linking it to Mexican culture and history.

At our hostel, inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. We are a home away from home, where people of all personalities, colours, shapes, and sizes can feel comfortable, accepted, and part of a vibrant community.

Volunteering with us is more than just an opportunity. Start your new chapter in life as we strive for personal growth and development. Share your ideas, values, and beliefs while connecting with others from all corners of the world. Together, we create a space where individuality is celebrated, and unique perspectives enrich every interaction.

Experience the magic of mingling with diverse travelers in a place where everyone belongs and has a purpose.

    Accommodation

We have a purpose built voluntary dormitory with individual bunk beds and curtains for added privacy.

We provide breakfast for volunteers every day, whether you have a shift or not. The rest of the meals are your responsibility. We often cook for each other and do family dinners, but this is an informal thing and we do not expect you to reciprocate if you don't feel like it!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Here in and around San Cristobal de las Casas, you will have plenty of things to do with your time off : simply walking up and down the beautiful, colonial style streets, exploring the multitude of cafes and independent cultural centres, visiting the neighbouring towns and their unique cultures, hiking in the nearby mountains, visiting caves, discovering the beautiful canon near Tuxtla, and even exploring the not-so-far ruins of Palenque!

We are located very close to the centro of San Cristobal, only a five-minute walk away from the central park. In the other direction, you will quickly access a large market as well a mall where you will find a large supermarket, banks, shops and a movie theatre. We are, in our humble opinion, located in a perfect spot, where the beauty of the town and the practicality of the outskirts are both easily accessible by walking, taxi or colectivo.
