    Description

We're Sarah and Kevan, both English but have been living in Australia for as long we can remember!!

We own a small homestead in rural East Gippsland, in a place called Nungurner, which is situated 6 minutes from Metung village and 10 mins from stunning 90 mile beach. We're surrounded by farmland and are slowly building our own oasis on our secluded 3 acres!! Since living here, we're learning how too and loving living from what we grow and nurture, so have a thriving veggie patch, free range chookies and bees. Oh, and we're also puppy parents to Daisy the bichon and have a cat called Peggy.

We are total foodies and love cooking.... but have a busy life and would love some help with the garden and help with finishing off the renovation of our home . We would love to host two people (maybe a couple or two friends) so that there is always company and a little community develops.

We own a converted barn at the bottom of the property that we operate as a rental property and that is where you would be staying whilst with us.

Our part of the world is well known for green pastures, great food offerings and awesome beaches. We're also close to the famous Buchan Caves and a couple of fabulous wineries as well as hot springs, surf and a great local pub!!

Living in regional areas can be really rewarding. We live in a small regional community so there are many of opportunities to meet the neighbours and local community, make new friends and really feel like you belong! There are many local community groups to immerse yourself in whilst staying such art, yoga, sailing, cold dipping and many more.

I am (Sarah) is a qualified horticulturist and is very happy to share my knowledge as we work in the garden together

We're also members of the local sailing club, so there'll probably be opportunities to also get out on the water if you'd like (to learn )to sail and we often go on mini day trips ourselves so would be happy to show you around the local areas.

We need help in the gardens. Outdoors, weeding, pruning and general help such as wood cutting. We'll generally be working with you, or offering direction as to what needs to be done that day, but sometimes you may be on the mower or whippersnapper by yourself!! We may also need some help painting or digging! There's a lot to do!!!!

You would be staying in our rental property, a converted country barn, set in it's own English country courtyard garden, away from the main house, so very private and peaceful. You'll have your own private bathroom, TV and kitchenette to make breakfast and snacks etc, as well as a coffee machine for that early morning coffee.

We would though provide you with all lunches and dinners in the main house.

There is also a small gym at the top of the property if you'd like to work out in your spare time.
