    Description

Owner of a rustic Spanish country house with about 2000m2 of land that is gradually evolving into a vegetable and native plants garden. There are also numerous fruit trees and rescue cats who make it their home.
The space is peaceful and gorgeous, surrounded by orchards, with lots of beautiful countryside to explore.
The house is about 3km from the nearest village and 45 mins from Valencia.
I live alone, work from home, and value quiet, easy, respectful company.

Travellers will have a chance to visit one of the most popular cities in Spain AND enjoy slow-paced Mediterranean country life. Ideal for nature lovers: beaches, mountains, Albufera natural park (home to Spain's largest lake) and local treasures like a 2,000-year-old olive tree.
Great food too... Valencia is the home of paella!
At my place, we could enjoy language exchange (English/Spanish/French) and share our travel stories.
The local village is quaint and friendly, and there lots of expat groups/activities in the vicinity.
I'm a runner and happy to have movement buddies.
I have a full bookshelf and love reading and talking about books. Ditto for wine: I enjoy tasting and discussing it.

Another pair of hands in the garden is always welcome. Lots of opportunities to enjoy seasonal Mediterranean activities like picking figs or curing olives.

Help with occasional household chores or project would also be appreciated.

I'm an English literature and linguistics teacher, and a writer, editor and writing coach. This would be a great place improve your English language or communication skills, or work on your own creative projects.

    What else ...

Wheeled transport is essential. Safe, licenced drivers are welcome to use my vehicle as needed.
There is a bus to Valencia from the village, and a park and ride metro stop about 15 mins away.
I'm a quiet, private person who needs and respects personal space.
My rescue cats are the raison d'etre. Animal lovers only please!
NB: I'm a vegetarian and although I'm comfortable with people eating precooked meat, prefer to not have it cooked in the house.
