Description
Family of three, Mum (English) and two grown up children, a 21yr old daughter and a 18yr old son (English/French) though both are away studying/working at the moment ,2 dogs, 1 cats, 4 goats, 2 geese and 1 ducks! We live in a small hameau (of 6 houses) that is just outside (within walking distance) of a lovely village that has a fab sunday market, masses of organic produce all local suppliers plus amazing food, lovely clothes/jewellery etc and there is always someone playing music! We have a large garden (7000m2) bordered by woodlands with mountain views. Very rural and beautiful multi-cultural/alternative area, really we have all nationalities here. Always lots of interesting things going on: concerts, theatre, yoga, tai chi, salsa, 5 rhythms dance etc.
The sea is a couple of hours away but there are some lovely lakes and the river to swim in close by, we also have an above ground pool (salt water) we put up in the summer. I taught forest school at the local Steiner school for 10 years and creative English workshops around puppet making in Toulouse for the last 5 years. I have been working for the Reseau de la Pédagogie par la Nature for the last few years and train Adults to teach FS in France. I also work as a therapist (massage, geobiology, energy medicine). We have been here 14 years, before that we were travelling in a house truck for 8 months around France looking for the perfect place to be. It is here. I've been a big traveller and have spent most of my adult life (until kids came along and that slowed me down for a while) moving about around the UK plus alot of time in Spain, France and also Asia and South America - backpacking but also living in various trucks.Types of help and learning opportunities

I've had lots of different jobs: secretarial, photography, waitress, massage and reiki therapist, stained glass artist, art and craft workshops for children, restaurant owner, french teacher.... and now its Forest School! I enjoy being outside as much as possible, yoga ,running, space clearing, walking, creating, discovering, laughing, dancing, good music, good food and good company!
Help
I am really looking for people that have building experience and working with wood, roofing (just the goats house!), laying patios, etc as there are lots of various building projects on the go . Also help with sorting out ponds. Some general landscaping, veggie patch (permaculture and biodynamic), putting in paths, planting, cutting, strimming, chopping wood , mending fences, putting up fences, but sometimes in the house with repairs or painting . Looking after the animals, moving the goats, walking the dogs. Cooking. . I have a small cabin I rent out so helping with the changeovers. Creative stuff like mosiacs. Really there is always a whole heap of things and it is always varied.

The work wasn't too complicated - taking care of the animals was the best part. I highly recommend meeting Janine, staying for a little while and enjoying your time !

There is a powerfull energy there, warmth and the kindness is what we felt. She and her family are open-minded and interesting people. We appreciated the chats and meals we had together.
As well, all the animals are so sweet, they love cuddles. Hope Saphis puppys are growing well.

She is a warm and welcoming person and we had a great time with her.
The help was never too hard and usually she gave us a choice of tasks so we could decide what we wanted to do when.
We did a lot of different things, ranging from painting their mobilhome to garden maintainance including… read more
