Hi, we are Chef Samuel and Jacqueline, running authentic culinary experiences (cooking classes) in Penang, Malaysia! Penang has long known as Asia's food paradise, and this is exactly the place to find one of the best food on earth.
Chef Samuel is a professional chef working with some of Malaysian finest hotels previously while Jacqueline is a entrepreneur herself, and helps on the website's SEO, front-end web design & marketing.
Both of us stay in our cooking studio too, it is a high floor yet beautiful apartment with Penang bird-eye cityscapes and sea view.
If you have any questions, feel free to send us a message, I'll reply to you as soon as possible!
Thank youuuu ;)
Creating/ Cooking family meals
Help around the house
Help with Computers/ Internet
You will learn many authentic Malaysian recipes, and the professional way of cooking it. This alone is worth the value of attending a professional cooking course. Sharpen up your basic skills like Using Knives, Chopping, Kitchenware and Cookware selection for a variety of cuisines. You'll get to know in-depth about Malaysian cultures from different angles and especially insights through a food culture and historical perspective.
Both of us are fluent in 5 languages - English, Malay, Chinese, Cantonese and Hokkien. Let us know if you wish to pick up a new language. Practice makes perfect, we can communicate in the specific language you wish to learn.
Meals are not included, however tentatively Chef Samuel will occasionally cook some Asian food for dinner to share.
We launched both an (1) online masterclass on Asian cooking and (2) live stream cooking series earlier this year, which need a main hand on video shooting, broadcast and production. You'll need to have at least a camera (able to shoot up to 1080p HD or 4k with HDMI clean output + microphone jack) and optionally, a laptop which is capable of video editing via Adobe Premiere Pro (Macbook Pro or equivalent) and broadcast via OBS.
Help is needed for around 2-3 shooting hours per day (usually during afternoons) and post-production editing. Your daily task will be coming up with a ready video within 48 hours. The rest of the time, you could have it for your own. If you have prior experience to video shooting, its great. But if you don't, its fine too as long as you are willing to self-learn the required skills in a short time.

You'll be staying in an ensuite room with a balcony and bathroom. The view from balcony is stunning with Penang bird-eye cityscapes and sea view.
We have ceiling fan in the room too, as it is quite cold during the night.
We have a washing machine, so you could do your laundry and a very big open-space kitchen. Feel free to cook, and keep everything clean once finish.
Our place is near to Georgetown, but you will need to rent a motorbike (motorcycle) if you wish to have accessibility at a minimal cost. There is a bus stop in front of our apartment, however bus rides are not very frequent.
Our apartment has a facility floor with swimming pool, gym room, tennis court, squash court, badminton court. You could access it for free of charge while your stay here.
