    Description

We have a small hobby farm set in a beautiful valley in the North Thompson Region of British Columbia. The farm is diverse with chickens, pet goats, many gardens, bees and draft horses and ponies which we drive. Our place is nestled in a lovely tree'd area and our property is well kept and cozy. This is a laid back place to work and play. Non-commercial and welcoming. We need general help that includes raking, weeding, animal care and possible building and maintenace projects....

In the past I taught children about Equine husbandry, training and riding. We are lifetime Equine aficionado's and practice and teach a high level of horsemanship. We don't have riding horses any longer but we drive our horse and ponies for pleasure. This would be a great place for someone who is interested in driving ponies as I have 4 that drive single and pair. I have medicinal gardens and vegetable gardens that we harvest and eat, store and dehydrate. I am a second year beekeeper and am very excited about learning and expanding my apiary. I grow and harvest many medicinal plants which also benefit the bees. I create many leather products, from harness to belts, to knife sheaths.....As you can see, my hobbies are quite diverse. I enjoy conversation about pretty much anything. From history and evolution to science and different perspectives on subjective reality. We are friendly folks who enjoy our little farm. We welcome someone who can enjoy and help us improve and maintain it.

Currently we are looking for help with Spring clean up and start gardens on the farm. We live on a small hobby farm in the North Thompson region, BC. I grow medicinal herbs (all legal) have vegetable gardens, horses, dogs, chickens and bees. We drive our horses and ponies and use the drafts to harrow the fields and for pleasure. I need help with the gardens weeding and harvesting and farm sitting if we go away as well as general farm maintenance and potential building projects. I have a leather shop I do alot of harness work and other leather projects. I am quite diligent in how my farm is run and animals are kept and handled. I prefer someone with horse experience, especially driving, but willing to work with someone who has strong interest. We practice a high level of safety and horsemanship. We would like someone who takes initiative and is honest and fair as I am. I enjoy intellectual, open minded people who are driven to take on tasks with vigor and passion.

    What else ...

We enjoy driving our horses and love to share our driving horses and ponies with folks who would like to learn. I enjoy my alone time but would also enjoy the company of a person who is eager to learn about horses, gardening, bees and what ever else I have knowledge about, while learning about my companies' life experiences as well. I work hard but enjoy relaxing and sharing stories.
