    Description

We love the outdoors and an active lifestyle. We have six grown-up children and a calm, well-behaved dog named Bruce, who is an important part of our family.

We live in our home in Hafnarfjörður all year round, but during the summer we spend most of our time in the Westfjords, one of the most beautiful and remote parts of Iceland. We love traveling and exploring our country, and we enjoy sharing that experience with others.

The help we are looking for mainly involves keeping the house clean and tidy, doing laundry, and taking Bruce out for walks.

Once the day’s work is completed, you are free to enjoy and explore the beautiful surroundings. Nearby highlights include Rauðisandur beach, the Látrabjarg cliffs, and the Dynjandi waterfall — some of the most stunning natural attractions in Iceland.

We are looking for someone responsible, positive, and comfortable around dogs, who would enjoy both helping out and experiencing life in Icelandic nature.

We welcome couples who are interested in discovering Iceland — its raw nature, rich history, and unique culture. This is a perfect opportunity for those who want to explore both the well-known and hidden parts of the country.

You'll have access to our home, part of the Greater Reykjavík area, located in the historic old town with charming surroundings and within walking distance of all major services. It's a great base for experiencing Icelandic urban life with a local twist.

As part of your stay, we offer a chance to learn about Icelandic traditions, history, and daily life. You can also help us with household tasks like cleaning, laundry, and keeping an eye on the property while we're away. In return, you'll get a genuine, immersive experience in both city and countryside life in Iceland.

In Hafnarfjörður and nearby, you can explore charming old streets, lava fields, cozy cafés, Viking history, and a beautiful harbor. You're also just minutes from Reykjavík, hot springs, hiking trails, and the Blue Lagoon. It's a perfect mix of culture, nature, and city life!

In South Iceland, you can experience some of the country’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Explore the famous Golden Circle, including Gullfoss waterfall, the erupting hot springs of Geysir, and Þingvellir National Park. Discover the dramatic black sand beaches of Reynisfjara, the powerful waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, and the glacier lagoons of Jökulsárlón, where icebergs drift toward the ocean. You can also hike in Skaftafell, admire the unique Svartifoss waterfall, and witness the beauty of volcanoes like Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull. The region is full of peaceful countryside, geothermal greenhouses, and Icelandic horse farms — a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and local charm

In the West of Iceland are one of the country’s most remote and breathtaking regions, known for their dramatic landscapes, peaceful atmosphere, and untouched nature. It’s the perfect place for those who enjoy the outdoors and want to experience a quieter, more authentic side of Iceland. The area offers incredible scenery with deep fjords, winding coastal roads, and endless opportunities for exploration.

Nearby, you’ll find some of the most stunning natural attractions in Iceland. Rauðisandur is a unique red and golden sand beach, ideal for long, peaceful walks. Dynjandi waterfall, often considered one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls, is a must-see, with a series of smaller cascades leading up to the main falls.

In addition to these highlights, the Westfjords offer natural hot springs by the ocean, opportunities to see wildlife such as whales, seals, and Arctic foxes, and charming small villages where you can experience local Icelandic life. It’s a truly special place for anyone looking to explore nature, relax, and enjoy unforgettable landscapes.
