An award winning holistic wellness retreat, located in the heart of the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka - Sigirya. In the outskirts of a small village surrounded by the jungle, we are trying to change the trend of tourism by placing nature and community at the forefront to benefit the community and environment.
We have created a sustainable. eco-friendly living sancatuary and we need your help to continuously improve it.
We are home to 150 speices of birds, and the smallest primate in Sri Lanka - the slender loris.
We try to be as eco-friendly as possible, most of the produce is sourced from our organic garden and water is recycled.
We are looking for volunteers that share the same values as us; friendly, proactive, open minded, flexible and would love to stay in the jungle. We have a strict policy on smoking and drinking at designated areas.

We would offer an insight into local village life, exposure to elephant territory.

We require a range of volunteers to help with ad-hoc requests and the following tasks;
An individual who can assist in the overrall operation of the retreat, there are no set tasks, but we need someone to be proactive.
A creative individual who can enhance our reach and spread our message of sustainable community living through digital platforms. (Marketing & Promotion)
Photograpers and videographers to create great digital content
Writers to help with the blog writing etc
A permaculture enthuaists who can assist in improving our organic garden.
Carpenters and general maintence work to be done around the Retreat
Help with housekeeping and general maintainance
General help with the guests
We all work as a team here and expect our volunteers to work as a team and be ok to get their hands dirty
A minimum of 3 weeks stay with 5 hours working for 5 days per week. Preference will be given to those who wish to stay with us longer to make a bigger impact. We are a non drug zone and expect our volunteers to respect it.
We will provide you with a large room shared with a maxium of 2 others.
3 traditional cooked meals per day even on your off days if you are at the retreat. Our meals tend to be vegetarian healthy and Sri Lankan, if you fancy anything else you are welcome to cook in our kitchen.

We are surrounded by 4 UNESCO sites within 1 hour away. Sigiriya Lion Rock is just 7 kms away and as we are in an ancient grounds and in Sri Lanka's cultural triangle there is lot to see.
We basically want fun people who can thing out of the box and have a positve impact on the retreat and the community.
We have 10 guest rooms over 7 acres to give the guests enough of space and privacy to enjoy the jungle. (we are actually in the jungle and do sometime have wild elephants roaming!) We have 12 full time staff, majority of them are ladies from the village who goes back at 5pm and the rest are very trust worthy and reliable males who stays in the Retreat. We have 6 gardeners, the front officer, house keepers, Maintenance person and two waiting staff.
The owner who is female (who has lived in UK for 25 years) lives on the property.
