Description
I am a visual artist and have been involved in collaborative cultural projects for many years.
The house is located in a quiet residential area of Montreuil, with two small gardens. It is about 10–15 minutes from the metro, providing easy access to central Paris.
Over the years, the house has welcomed many friends, artists, and visitors from all over the world. Today, it remains a friendly place where I welcome people from different backgrounds who would like to stay while contributing to practical projects around the house and garden.
Montreuil is a lively town with many cafés, markets, cinemas, cultural venues, and green spaces. Paris is easily accessible by public transport.
As I am often busy with my own work and projects, I appreciate people who are independent, reliable, and comfortable organising their time while participating in daily life and practical tasks. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
The house has long been a place where people from different countries and backgrounds come and go. I enjoy welcoming independent and curious people who are happy to contribute to daily life and practical projects around the house and garden.
I am a visual artist and often work on my own projects, so I am not always available during the day. However, I enjoy sharing meals or occasional conversations when time allows.
Workawayers can enjoy discovering Montreuil and Paris, with their many cultural activities, parks, cafés, markets, and events. The house offers a good balance between shared moments and personal independence.
I am looking for people who are reliable, autonomous, and happy to participate in a friendly and respectful environment. -
Help
Tasks may vary depending on the time of year and each person’s skills:
- Gardening and maintaining small gardens
- Small DIY tasks : putting up shelves, repainting certain areas, simple repairs
- Helping to better organise the house
This is not intensive work but rather a friendly exchange in a calm and creative setting. I particularly appreciate people with manual or artistic skills.
We can work together on certain projects and share skills throughout your stay. There will be no help with maintenance of spaces for guests of my house. If friends or family members are staying in the house, Workaway will not provide any assistance with cleaning the communal areas used by any of these guests. -

Accommodation
The house is spacious, comfortable, and located in a quiet residential area of Montreuil. It offers a safe and pleasant environment for Workaway volunteers.
Accommodation includes a private single bedroom. The bathroom and kitchen are shared. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for everyday cooking.
The house is spread over several floors. The ground floor includes the kitchen, living room, and a workshop area for DIY and practical projects. The upper floors contain the bedrooms and living spaces. An independent studio on the top floor is occupied by an artist.
Three meals a day are provided: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I provide the ingredients and basic food supplies, with a preference for fresh and local products. Dietary requirements and preferences (vegetarian, vegan, allergies, etc.) can be discussed in advance.
The organisation is flexible. Sometimes we may share meals together, and at other times Workawayers can prepare their meals independently according to their own schedule. I generally take care of the cooking, but anyone who enjoys cooking is welcome to do so.
If friends, artists, or family members are staying at the house, Workawayers will not be expected to clean or take care of spaces used by those guests.
The atmosphere of the house is calm, respectful, and friendly. -
What else ...
Montreuil is a vibrant, cultural town on the outskirts of Paris. The house is in a quiet residential neighbourhood, yet is very well connected to central Paris.
Transport links are easy and fast:
• Metro line 9 (Mairie de Montreuil station)
• Metro line 11 (Montreuil Hôpital or Romainville – Place Carnot stations)
These lines provide quick access to central Paris and its main districts.
In their free time, Workawayers can make the most of the local cultural scene: cinemas, theatres, numerous concert venues, and community and artistic projects. Montreuil is a very creative and dynamic town, often appreciated for its cafés, restaurants and friendly atmosphere — many Parisians also go out there.
The house is a quiet and respectful place. A few important rules:
• The house is non-smoking indoors
• Common areas must be kept clean and tidy
• Respect for everyone’s peace and quiet and their own pace is essential -
