    Description

We live in a house of over 135 yo. We are a like a family community with My(siewart) parents, younger brother, my wife Tanya, and a friend of ours. We try to make it more and more energy effecient/neutral. Love having guests and are experienced host in couchsurfing websites like couchers, warmshowers, trustroots, etc. As of people we're asking if they could stay longer we started with the volunteering. Now people can stay short or longer and helpout the family a bit with various tasks. The Garden is my playground as a landscapers and probably trying out several things once in a while. Making it more and more a bit of a food forrest like garden with more edible plants and creating more and more habitat. All is maintained ecological. Bit of a progress, but slowly trying out we get there. All without poison and where nature can have its place.
Also we would love to try a dish from your country too. Further we got some animals. A couple of rabbits, a few chickens, guinea fowls and a 3 funny Indian runner ducks. We love getting some more or other animals maybe one day.
Also we love making music, talk about travel and life stories, enjoy life and have some fun! Hope to see you soon!

  • Help

    Help

For help it would be all kinds of tasks.
The works can be anything form rebuilding, sanding, maintenance in the garden, potting plants, other garden tasks etc.
From helping out in the garden like mowing, weeding, potting plants, veggy garden tasks, harvesting, rebuilding garden areas to tasks like sanding, building small structures(under guidendce or if skilled), creative, etc. There might be some animal care like feeding, cleaning compartments or keeping an eye on the animals. Also sometimes some other home tasks might appear like cleaning up, cooking or other house tasks or other tasks.

Cleaning of the bnb/rented out room is not part of your schedule. Depending on the tasks and the avialablitiy of us we might do some tasks together and some are done single. Depends on what is possible that moment. For specialised jobs we do it ourself or we hire a professional. We only give tasks we think are suitable for the skill of the volunteer or if its more difficult we will do it together. You will normally not do only one single of the same task for the whole period but the tasks will be mostly variable of different things. We like to explain what and why we are doing or whats the goal of the project you are doing the piece of, so ask a lot of questions and you will learn more.
