    Description

We are Elisa, Tosca, and Isidoro - 3 siblings - of Italian-American-German nationality. We were born and raised in they countryside of a charming village called Genga (in the Marche region).
We spent our childhood immersed in nature and surrounded by animals.
We grew up with WOOFERS and workawayers staying with us, and would like to continue to do so.
Our "casa nel bosco" built by our father when he moved to Genga thirty years ago, holds great significance for us.
Sadly, our Dad (also a workawayer host) recently passed away.
We are looking for a workawayer or two to stay there and basically do some small jobs to keep the place looking nice and to just be there to keep an eye on things.
This could be a good opportunity for someone writing a book, an artist, or someone who would like to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of today's world.

Workawayers MUST have their own car. We know the idea of being lost in nature sounds beautiful but the reality is that you will need to get out at least to do some shopping. We don't live that far away but it is a little too far away for us to go more than once every 10 days or so.

We would really like the workawayer/s who is/are independent, can get what needs to be done done.

We will supply some basic food essentials when you get here; after that, you will need to procure your own food. For people staying in the winter, we will provide some wood; the rest you will have to collect in the woods (this is what our dad did) or buy it (we can help you find people who sell it). We ask that you leave the same amount of wood as you found so that the next people will have dry wood.

Please remember that you MUST HAVE YOUR OWN CAR. Many think they can get around without one but trust us, you need a car here :)

You (and your friends/partner/family) will be living there mostly alone - there may be an overlap with other workawayers sometimes. We live not to far away and will come by to visit. Of course we are always available to help you with any questions you have. Here you can live in harmony with nature, enjoy the silence, and create your little green space in Italy. You really need to have your own car to get around and explore.

  • Help

    Help

We need help with the maintenance of the exterior of the house. Specifically, tasks include cutting the grass, painting, organizing the tool shed, and looking after two semi-stray cats.
If you're interested, you can also cultivate fruits and vegetables.
While there is a lot of work that "could" be done here, nothing "must" be done EXCEPT to cut the grass around the house and keep it looking nice. For this you should know how to use a strimmer/weedwacker or you can cut it by hand if you prefer.
We will show you a number of things that "should" be done here and then you decide whatever project makes you happy.
The work hours are very flexible.
This workaway experience is more of a housesit since we do not live there.
All of the stuff to do is things we (and our Dad) have done by ourselves in the past - we never ask to do things that we haven't done or don't know how to do :)
