Description
We are a nature-loving family of four, living with our 3 cats, 1 dog, and 6 sheep on the beautiful island Ærø. We are originally from Germany and the UK but have lived and worked in several places around Europe before settling here on Ærø in 2018. Our two boys are 7 and 8 years old. We live on a large property with some woodlands and are looking for general help with maintenance of our garden, animals, and woodlands.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are originally from Germany and the UK, and have been living in Denmark for 6 years. You can learn together with us about nature and animals and how to take care of woodlands. You can also learn with us about Danish culture and history by joining the regular communal dinners and no-waste lunches organized here in the community and at our local school. On Ærø you will find a vibrant and open community that is very welcome to share and engage with outsiders.
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We are looking for general help with maintaining the property and taking care of the animals. Your work would for example include feeding the sheep , cleaning out the sheep stable, collecting and chopping wood, painting buildings or fences, etc.

You will be staying in our beautiful circus wagon with all amenities. During the summer we rent it out on Airbnb so you can find all the details and pictures by Googling "Charming Circus Wagon for Romantic Getaway Ærø Airbnb" (it's not possible to add URLs here unfortunately)
What else ...
Please note that you will be staying in the circus wagon which stands a bit away from the main house where we are staying. The wagon is fully equipped with everything you need, has heating and internet, and while we can share some meals (e.g. dinners) you would be responsible for buying your own groceries for breakfast, lunch and day-to-day things. With a bike (you can borrow one from us) it takes 10 minutes to the supermarket. There is a bus stop around 10 minute walk away and the busses are free of charge. The bus takes you to the three small towns (villages) on Ærø. If you like nature there is a lot to do on Ærø but there are also some nice shops and cafes around (but with limited opening times during the off-season). You can find out everything about Ærø on the Visit Ærø website (just Google it as URLs are automatically deleted here).
