    Description

Our availability depends on the COVID 19 restrictions and situation.
Here is a link to a website that shows whether you can come to Denmark or not - due to covid

    Welcome to our family

Are you interested in gardening, animals, self sufficiency, cosiness and have a creative mind?
Or maybe you're firm with a hammer and want to help with building and maintaining things around the farm?

Then Kattholt is definitely a place for you!
Here lives a brought together family. In total a family of 9, however, at the moment only 2 adults and 4 children (15-21 yrs old) live here. A warm hearted family who loves interacting with people from all over the world. To share our daily life and house with others is a joy.

We're intrigued by the thought of self-suffiency and grow a big variety of vegetables, berries and fruit in our garden during the seasons. The harvest is preserved and used for own consumption during the winter and spring. We are nowhere near 100% self sufficient, but we try to be as self sufficient as possible.
Besides that we also keep sheep, ducks, hens, pigs and bees.

We've had several helpers during our years as hosts, and after a little break, we are now ready to welcome helpers at Kattholt again.
To us it's important that you're interested in sharing your culture, food and "life" with us - meaning that we're interested in getting to know you and that we hope, you'll be interested in getting to know us.
We expect you to work 4-5 hours a day; with two days off each week.
The work can be gardening, weeding, taking care of the animals, making firewood, helping with buildingprojects, preparing wool for spinning, cooking, cleaning, taking part in other household work, or maybe some creative work. This depends on the season and what needs to be done.
During some of the days of the week the family will be at work or school and therefore not at home.

Our home is located in a village, 25 km from Aarhus. There is a busline to Aarhus / Horsens only 3 km away. This means that on your days off, you'll be able to go there for more cultural experiences.
Depending on the number of Workawayers the accommodation will be in a big tent. However, if we only have one, there will be a room for you.

If you think this sounds like somthing for you, then please message us here and read our reviews!

    Best regards Kattholt.
