    Description

    Welcome to our family

Are you interested in gardening, self sufficiency, cosiness and have a creative mind?
Or maybe you're firm with a hammer and want to help with building and maintaining things around the house?

Then Kattholt is definitely a place for you!
Here lives a brought together family. In total a family of 9, however, at the moment only 2 adults and 2 children (18 and 19 yrs old) live here. A warm hearted family who loves interacting with people from all over the world. To share our daily life and house with others is a joy.

We're intrigued by the thought of self-suffiency and grow a big variety of vegetables, berries and fruit in our garden during the seasons. The harvest is preserved and used for own consumption during the winter. We are nowhere near 100% self sufficient, but we try to be as self sufficient as possible.
Besides that we also keep hens.

To us it's important that you're interested in sharing your culture, food and "life" with us - meaning that we're interested in getting to know you and that we hope, you'll be interested in getting to know us.
We expect you to work 4-5 hours a day; with two days off each week.
The work can be gardening, weeding, making firewood, helping with buildingprojects, cooking, cleaning, taking part in other household work, or maybe some creative work. It depends on the season and what needs to be done, but there will be weeding jobs for sure:)
During some of the days of the week the family will be at work or school and therefore not at home.

Our home is located in a village, 25 km from Aarhus. There is a busline to Aarhus / Horsens only 3 km away. This means that on your days off, you'll be able to go there for more cultural experiences.
Depending on the number of Workawayers the accommodation will be in a big tent. However, if we only have one, there will be a room for you.

If you think this sounds like something for you, then please message us here and read our reviews!

    Best regards Kattholt.
