Description
Hello volunteers around the world, I have been doing like you for a while and i'll be glad to welcome you in my turn.
I spent over three years volunteering (in cumulate) in different projects and countries. This helped me so much in my quest of learning self sufficiency (inside and outside). I found it was a beautiful sharing of time, knowledge, culture, ideas, and making of friendships...
Back to France i finally got enough will and confidence to start my own project. So here I am, with a stone house to renovate and a beautiful land of 37 acre of woods and wastelands.
The aim for the next 2 years is to ecorenovate my house mostly myself in an ecological way. My second project here is to create a forest garden.
About me : im a lady of 33 years old, working part time as a doctor, but loving much more being outside and doing handcrafts tasks ;)

My land is quiet and remote in the woods but you 'll not get bored, there is plenty of hiking and cycling paths that you could explore, going directly from the land. Near by there is an arboretum and a stone museum. There is also some historical and medieval town around, Limoges as well is a really cute and fairly dynamic city.
I like to go picking stuff, depending on the season it could be mushrooms, chestnuts or edible plants.
There maybe some family and friends some weekend and you're very welcome to join us.
If you want to learn French I'll be glad to help you improving it!
If you prefer to speak in English, mine got a bit rusty as I haven't travelled for a little while so it could be nice for me too!

I could give you the knowledge i have in gardening, using tools, eco-renovation, and make you discover the area.
Im waiting for some help in the phase of renovating the house, the summer being ended, i'll be mostly by my own, and it is much more satisfying to work with someone. I prefer to advice that the work could be physical and my land is going up and down so a good physical condition is necessary at this stage.
what you could do:
helping in different renovating projects: installing an outside drain around the house, to spread an ecological coating on the outside walls, to build stone walls, to insulate the roof, do some wood for the winter, to plant trees, move a fence... we will adapt with your interests, or with the urgent tasks if there are any.

Accommodation
For the fall and winter i can propose you a room in the house, there is basic confort (toilet, shower) but it is still pretty old and rustic. I have only one bedroom available for the moment with a two place bed, i could add an other simple bed if you are two friends.
For the nice wheather there is a huge land where you could camp if you like it, i'll provide then the equipment.
What else ...
I am mostly vegetarian (eating fish once in a while) so the meals would be vegetarian too , if you crave for meat, i don't mind having meat in the fridge but it will be at your own fees.
I don't drink alcohol nor take drugs, i dont mind too if you want to drink a beer or a glass of wine at the end of the day as long as it stays reasonable .
I could lend you a bicycle for the end of the week or if i have time drive you somewhere you d like to visit.
