    Description

Blended family composed of a French mom, Natacha with a 5.5 year old daughter and a Belgian dad, Yann, with his 5 yo daughter. We are multilingual : French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Thai, some Chinese and some Russian.

We need different types of help (some days help on the land, some days help with the girls will be needed depending on the current needs:

    1. We need help with some easy DIY constructions on our land where we have a yurt and a caravan on a beautiful land in the countryside. Some things I would love to get help to build some pieces of furniture (bath sink table, outdoor kids lower table) and any creative idea for outdoor playing area for children is very welcome as well (we have DIY swings made from recycled tires for instance now thanks to one volunteer).

2 We want to start our own veggies garden, so any experience in this area (permaculture if possible) would be great.

    3. Playtime in English, Spanish or Italian. They are lovely, sociable girl. They love playing, speaking different languages. They are mostly unschooled, going to a Forest School once a week and some meetups with other un/homeschooling families during the week. We are following a respectful, child led type of education. They are very imaginative, you can let them lead you into their games.

You will have your own space on our land in the caravan (we sleep sometimes in our yurt, sometimes in the camping car )

We are following a vegan diet at home. We are eating fruits or porridge for breakfast, fresh food for lunch and a hot dish for dinner. You don't need to follow the same way, there will always be food for you in the kitchen for yourself when you want to eat at other times of the day. Food will be provided for 3 meals a day. BUT most of our food is healthy food, you won't find much industrial snacks at home (our snack are fruits) and I don't buy any non-vegan products. It does NOT mean you cannot store animal products at our place, just that I won't use my own money for something that goes against my personal values. So if you need some animal products, you will have to buy them yourself.

I am also a naturist. It means that I like being without clothes on when temperatures allows it. Does it mean you have to do the same ? No, not at all, but it means, you have to be comfortable with nudity. Do not hesitate to ask me more questions on this point if you have some.

We prefer to have volunteers who can help with cooking as well, so that it's not only me cooking for everyone all the time :)

We would also love a bit of help with cooking and small tasks around the land.

(if you are into decoration, homestaging, painting, I would love you to add a bit of new vibe to the place.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You will have your own space on our land in the caravan. Bedsheets are provided. Towel can also be provided if you need to.

A few things to know :
    1. We are living off-grid : it means that we have a outdoor shed as bathroom with compost toilets and bathtub. Water coming from our own well (done with plumbing, so you don't have to pump your water, but it's not water treated with chemicals like in the cities). We have a bathtub but to be honest, I always shower outside under a tree with a waterhose haning from the tree. We now upgraded the bathtub, which get some hot water from a gas heater.
No chemical products can be used here as the water goes out to my land after and it's not good for the ground. It means I use my own homemade dishwashing soap.
I am precise here so that you don't expect something that our place is not. If you are openminded and ready to see how to live more in contact with nature, our place is great for you. If you prefer to be in the city with everything ultra-cleaned without any dirt, then we are most probably not a good fit.

    2. We live in the middle of orange and palm trees fields. You will hear birds here BUT at the same time, don't expect to be in the middle of the mountains or right by the beach. Our land is close by car to both mountains and beach and on the days I don't work, I would be more than happy to show you around BUT at the same time, you need to be able to relax by yourself. I am never bored here honestly, but if you are used to the tumultuous life in a city, with things and stimulations / activities to do every hour of the day, you might think it's a bit boring life. I think it's a great way to reconnect with yourself, with your mind, your body and learn to slow down. BUT again this is my perception of life, if you want to be super active, our place might not be a great fit.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

In your free time, you can enjoy a walk to the river nearby, walk among the orange fields, go to the beach (12km from the land, reachable by bike (if you can help me fix it ahaha) or car when we go as well) or go to bigger cities like Gandia, Cullera, Alzira or Valencia.
You can also join us on our adventures around if you want to. We love going to nature places.
You will have 2 days off a week (it can be any day of the week, except days I have to work online). On those days, you are free to do whatever you want.
I love Ecstatic dance and community festivals, meeting friends in the park, going to the beach or to natural sights. If you want I am always happy to take you with us.
