    Description

We are a sweet campsite in Yildizkoy/Gökçeada (Imbros Island) which is a small bay in the Aegean Sea characterized by its national undersea park, rock formations, fish fauna and windy weather.

We have a bar and restaurant near the beach and we provide basic shelter for those who enjoy camping. We also offer enjoying the campfire under starry nights.

Gökçeada, the world's first 'Cittaslow' (Slow City) island, is a unique melting pot of Greek and Turkish cultures. By staying with us at Yıldızkoy, volunteers will experience a tranquil lifestyle focused on nature and sustainability. You will live in a multilingual environment, sharing daily life with locals, hearing stories of the island's deep-rooted history, and enjoying the harmony of different traditions.

You can learn and experience the 'Cittaslow' philosophy—how to live a high-quality life by slowing down and respecting the natural ecosystem of the island. And Since Yıldızkoy is part of a protected underwater national park, you can learn about marine conservation and sustainable tourism practices.

  • Help

    Help

We are a medium sized business. We currently employ 5 local staff members who handle the professional daily operations such as professional cooking, barmen, reception, cleaning and heavy maintenance. Our volunteers help alongside us and our staff to support our cultural activities and assist with light tasks, ensuring a true exchange of skills and languages.

During the summer season, we need help for cleaning, changing and washing sheets (we have laundry). Also need help for daily watering the grass and flowers.

    What else ...

The island is the biggest island of Turkey and famous with its old but living Greek villages and its also one of the best locations for the windsurfers. We have very good locations for diving and snorkelling very close to our campsite. Tracking and nature photography is always great.
